Default Khan is in the wrong gym

I think he needs to leave Roach.

Not only is Roach quite open that Pac is his favourite and comes first, he now has Chavez jnr in the gym and he will be above Khan in the pecking order too.

The Roach/ Pac style does not suit Khan. He gets hit too easy and can't take those hits.

I think he needs to turn up at the Mayweather gym. As much as I can't stand the guy, he is the best defensive fighter on the planet bar none. Khan needs to learn to not get hit and I think if he is to ever become a legitimate world champion again, he needs to do something drastic.

I agree in some respects but it will be hard to change Khans boxing brain. He has too much pride when hurt.

I'm sure he'd LOVE to go over to the Mayweathers. You can tell he's a massive fan and it's usually why people do end up with a Mayweather as a trainer..

DeLaHoya and Hatton being two examples you never would have thought being a "Mayweather" fighter.

I think Roach is also...not over rated but I guess a little over hyped since Pacquiao. Everybody thinks they're going to become P4P champ by simply switching to him. He's had a pretty bad year.

If you got it, you have it talent that is Khan is a world class boxer, without the world class chin any time he is beaten it's no shock to me.From the start of his pro career, I remember saying to my son he has
no chin, he has very fast hands good at dishing it out, hit him on that chin and he is all at sea.
A good trainer is a good trainer, you don't have to go thousands of miles to get one, there are many fine
trainers over here.Lets be honest Khan, could have the best trainer in the world until that bit of jelly in his chin is
replaced with a granite one. I'm afraid that will never happen, he has been ko on two occasions the simply fact hit him right and you ko him.

How is it with Roach in his corner and his glaring lack of a plan B does Khan not know or have the wherewithal to clinch or tie up? He reminds me of Wlad before Steward.

Which is kind of what I mean.

Has Wlad's chin got better? Probably not, he just gets hit on it less.

Manny Steward would probably do well with him like he did with Hearns and now with Wlad.

Amir has solid hand speed, he has good pop, but he has to be more of a boxer than a brawler. He's young enough to change, perhaps McGirt would suit him?

I was thinking the same thing. Khan might need a change. Jeff Mayweather might be good for him. Even Big Floyd. Neither in which will put him in the ring with MM.

Freddie Roach not getting trainer of the year, this year. Lol.

These trainers are over hyped , you've either got it or you haven't , Andre ward is with his same trainer since 10 y/ old , calzaghe was trained by his father who had no boxing experience , marvin hagler stuck with the same trainer all through his career and if you read hands of stone they got a trainer in for Roberto who watched him in the gym and said this guys an animal just keep him fit , there's countless other fights who have become great with just ordinary trainers who they have stuck with, if khan keeps needing different trainers by now he's never going to make it

being in the gym he is has made khan the marque name he is

he wouldnt be even close to the headliner he is if he was in another gym

perhaps a change now and he could still keep his status although it would have to be a very good choice

by the way, i was highly impressed by garcias performance

I think that would be a perfect match for Khan. Steward brings out the best with the tall rangy fighters.

I can't think of a worse high profile trainer to train Amir Khan than Roach.

IMO, Khan should have stuck with Ariza as well.
