Shaw can beat Ajagba. We're in that end of year lull now. Massive shame Ioka vs Franco hasn't been picked up or has it?

So as to not start yet another heavyweight thread...

WTF is going on with this division?? Is Wilder-Ruiz ever going to happen? Seems the date has been a moving target for months now... unless I missed the latest news. What about Fury? We KNOW he's never going to fight Usyk. That's been out the window for months. Other than Wilder, who he's already fought THREE times... is Fury planning on fighting ANY credible opponent? Which brings us to Joshua. Eddie Hearn says Joshua needs (cough) a tune-up before fighting either Fury or Wilder. Why? Was there a long layoff I'm not aware off? Did Joshua take a sabbatical without telling anybody? So he needs the tune-up to shake off the ring rust? No. My guess is Joshua looked so pedestrian in his latest fight... Hearn knows either Fury or Wilder would be certain defeats. Meanwhile... Wilder's 37 years old and not getting any younger. A lot of inactivity in the top echelons of the division.

    Joe Joyce beats them all.

My prediction is Usyk v DDD, AJ v Hrigov, Wilder v Franklin, Fury v Chisora 4, Whyte v Parker 2, Ruiz v Stiverne, Mike Tyson v Evander Holyfield 3 and finally Lennox Lewis v Riddick Bowe.

The "Big Three" never get anywhere NEAR Joyce.

    Joshua avoids him.
    Fury retires.
    Wilder ignores him.

    Wilder-Joshua needs to happen. I don't care if they're both yesterday's news.

Out of the 3 heavies you mentioned I'd only see Joshua fighting Joyce, not that he will

tyson will probably fight someone like manuel charr. deontay is the wbc number one so there's that

deontay wants big money with minimal risk. inactivity is a current big problem in the sport

I'm pretty sure you're in the majority here on that one. Me... I just don't hold Wilder's defeats to Fury against him as much as everyone else. On the contrary. If anything, I think Wilder has proven his heart in his defeats against Fury. We're all pretty certain Fury would have his way with Joshua... so it's not like Wilder lost to someone AJ would defeat. Joshua would surely lose to Fury as well.

Meanwhile, Joshua's mental and emotional state has admittedly been an issue. Just how much is he still vested in the ups and downs of professional prize fighting? Ruiz knocked him out... and in the rematch it was a decidedly timid AJ who won a cautious decision against Ruiz. He's been beaten by Usyk twice. The last one triggering an odd post-fight rant which had most fans scratching their heads.

Wilder has beaten everyone they've put in front of him, except Fury. That one is just not meant to be. So for these reasons I just don't see AJ beating Wilder as a done deal. I think Wilder has that famous puncher's chance to knock out Joshua. Could go either way, really. AJ's no slouch, and has good power himself. Younger AJ came back from a knockdown himself against Wlad in what was one of my favorite heavyweight fights in a long time... so there's that as well.

I just think Wilder-Joshua would be an extremely fan-friendly fight... and pre-fight odds would probably be near the 50/50 mark if they were to meet now.

I think Joshua will pretty much take on every one, he's being set up to take on Whyte next which isn't a terrible idea considering he took on a monster like usyk twice..he's get back to winning ways v Franklin, that's cool, then goes for a grudge match v an aggressive mad lad like dillian..if he's still taking on lower level fights after Whyte then sure feed him to the wolves but to be fair AJ took on usyk twice and I doubt he was the problem in making the fury or Wilder fight. Sure he's a bit of a weirdo but he gets way too much criticism. Joshua also flattens wilder quite easy.

I have always thought AJ beats Wilder but after the Franklin performance I am not sure. AJ was hesitant and slow which is very dangerous against Wilder.

The fight will be decided on who lands first, it will not go the distance.
