Default Help to prevent turning rear foot inward too much?

Whenever I throw a right-hand cross or hook, when I twist my hips and turn my back foot, sometimes instead of turning it straight torwards where I'm punching, sometimes I tend to turn it inward a bit too much. Any suggestions on how to correct this?

I do alright as long as I'm in front of a mirror, but if I try to practice shadowboxing elsewhere, I keep making mistakes. (Perhaps I should just keep doing it in front of a mirror until it becomes natural?)

well the first thing is at least you're aware of it and can correct it before it becomes a naturally bad habit.

slow it down, reherse it with perfect form, then speed up. have someone watch & shout when you mess up. It might only happen when you speed up, move left/right etc.

Being aware is the best starting point

You can't turn it too much. Here's the thing...you should be STARTING with the toe of your right foot pointing at your opponent, not pointing off to the side. The idea is to turn your hip through the punch and if you were to stop your toe when it was pointing straight ahead, you would only be turning your hip square, not through.

Standlooking along a Wall, with Back shoulder on Wall. Back Foot pointing at Wall, as you throw the Right Hand, turn the Foot so it Hits the Wall, the Heel that is. Its the Knee and Foot that Turns the Hip. Fact the Hip by itself Cannot move.
