The funny thing is that globally I have found people adore a refined English voice over that of a dying dust yard hillbilly cowboy.
It is a regular source of amusement in lectures as I point out the finer points of the English accent and offer my own very good American variations.
You get a bit more respect with the BBC vibe, and certainly over that of the Bill Reilly rant vibe.
