Default I love a good riddle

This is more maths than a riddle, but it will still fuck your head up!

You saw a shirt for £97.

You didn't have the cash, so you borrowed £50 from your mom and £50 from your dad = £100.

You bought the shirt and had £3 change.

You gave your dad £1 and your mom £1 and kept the other £1 for yourself.

Now you owe your mom £49 and your dad £49.

    49+49 = 98 + your £1 = 99.

    Where is the missing £1?

Answer, its in your new shirt.
You scamming little runt, get to your room.

    Im thinking this out aloud.

The shirt cost was $97 so instead of adding the dollar as in 49+49=98 (there it is the missing dollar thinking your way) but you spent it in the shirt, you deduct it from 98 instead and give them another 50cents each and the one dollar in your hand and you are all even.
The missing dollar was in the shirt. You must have forgot.

    Hope Im right.

Hang on you have a shirt worth 97 you have a dollar in your hand that = 98 worth you have total. You have already paid back 100 in full which you owed. 100 subtract 98 (your new worth) is the 2 dollars you gave them from your original change.= even.

A figure of speech, the money was in the shirt (price).

The answer is you should not have taken the pound it was never yours in the first place. The missing pound is with you.

after you pay back your parents $1 each you owe $98
so you borrowed $98 for a $97 shirt
    98 - 97 = 1
that is the $1 in your pocket
a spontaneous creation with multiple moods.
