Arrow Danny Garcia vs. Erik Morales II - Saturday night fight thread

I almost overlooked these fights Saturday on Showtime, 4 fooking title fights! woohooo!

At Brooklyn, N.Y. (Showtime): Danny Garcia vs. Erik Morales, rematch, 12 rounds, for Garcia's WBC/WBA junior welterweight title; Paulie Malignaggi vs. Pablo Cesar Cano, 12 rounds, for Malignaggi's WBA welterweight title; Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam vs. "Kid Chocolate" Peter Quillin, 12 rounds, for N'Jikam's WBO middleweight title; Randall Bailey vs. Devon Alexander, 12 rounds, for Bailey's IBF welterweight title.

A good night of boxing for us fans, I believe Danny Garcia destroys Erik Morales this time, I really don't understand why this fight was made, for the money I reckon, but I will be watching it.

The Quillin fight is the one I'm looking forward to. I agree that Garcia-Morales (or anyone-Morales) should not be happening. I am interested to see if we get any clues about who Garcia fights next though -- hopefully Matthyse.

I'd rather stab myself in the face than watch Devon Alexander wrestle and hold. The Paulie fight might be interesting.

I'm hoping Erik can somehow turn back father time for one last glory day. I have mixed emotions with Devon and Randall and like both guys. Bailey is one of the last one punch knock out artists so he's always in it but Alexander at least so far looks to be a different fighter at 147 then he was at 140.

This card is pretty stacked and should be very solid. I think it's everything to lose for Garcia off great ko of Khan and a rematch they doesn't need to be. Respect Morales but he's essentially done, we need to let em go. The one for me is Bailey and Alexander. On paper Devon clinges and barks his way to a win over old school but you never never count out a pure puncher like Bailey. Personally hoping he feeds Alexander right like a fat kid eats Funyans and at some point he'll get his shot and hurt Bradley but needs to pounce, live or die by the sword.

I'll be at this bad boy live. I'm most excited about the Quillin-N'Jikam fight, but Garcia-Morales I was a good fight, and I don't expect II to be worse, even if Garcia is favored. Plus, I want to see Morales fight before he retires. I can't lie: I'll be watching Devon Alexander fight to see if Randal Bailey can knock him out with his right hand. Even though he can't punch, Paulie actually is in good fights frequently. Heck, he stopped his last opponent. Danny Jacobs in his comeback fight. Salita and Collazo also on the card. It's pretty stacked with names.

To me,boxing in Brooklyn is exciting any way you look at. I'll take the 5-train there. It'll be good.

Have fun -- agreed that boxing at the new Barclays center should be awesome! I did my undergrad at Columbia and then lived in Bklyn for a year before law school. Would love to be back there for this. Hopefully it will be a success and there will be more to come.

I'm rooting hard for Bailey as well. He's a heavy underdog, but all that bullshit goes out the window once he lands the right hand. Trouble is, he has to land it first.

I'm also interested in seeing how Paulie looks considering he should be fighting Hatton in the near future as long as Hatton gets by Senchenko.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
