    Default Kell Brook

Kell Brook has had a lot of criticism recently, and rightly so. He seems untested and seems to be on the slow path. He has been criticized for the fact that he doesn't have a catalog of great names and that he can't punch at a decent level, struggling to stop fighters like Matthew Hatton and Carson Jones, fights that he dominated.

So I watched Kell Brook vs Hector Saldivia last night and I am still not impressed, although this time it's not really Special K's fault. He was in against a fighter 41(32)-2(2)-0 and it seemed set to be a testing fight. First round Brook dominates and floors Saldivia with a right Uppercut. Round 2, dominates him again. Round 3 KO's Saldivia with a jab.

I'd like to say that Kell was great, but unfortunately he wasn't. Hector Saldivia just didn't show up, which is a shame because his quality of opponent has been fairly decent so I expected better.

The commentators disappointed me, saying things like "Kell Brook has answered all the questions here", I don't believe he did, the fight looked to be one that could ask him questions, but instead it just proved to be a fight that shows he needs to move up and maybe fight someone with a good name.

It seems we'll just need to wait bit longer to see what happens when Kell Brook is tested!

I don't wanna give him credit, because what I've seen hasn't been tremendous!

I'd love him to go 10 years as a world champion, but from what I've saw he's slightly above domestic level.

    Hopefully a step up now!

We will see when he fights, for a World title he will be a champ you can only win, and that's what he has
done up to now. Ingle fighters are not to ever ones taste, Brook has all the tools with the right mind set
    he will succeed.

I think he looked like a different animal last night. You couls see by the definition in his face that he was in better shape than ever before. It's well known that he was dehydrating himself a week before fights to make weight. becuase he hadn't trained or eaten properly. I think he will definitely win a strap and could go on to be a very good worl champion!

But for a fighter with 29 fights, he is relatively untested.

I agree he was in tiptop shape last night but I need to see him in a long hard fight.

So far I'd have to say that he doesn't really deserve a world title shot, not when compared to other domestic fighters like Carl Froch a couple weight classes up, he's fights continuouslym the hardest fighters in the class for years.

Brook need a fight against just 1 top light welterweight before I'll be impressed.

    European / Intercontinental

But I'm not saying he isn't world class, I'm just saying that he hasn't had enough opponents to reflect his ability well.

Last night he KO'd a guy early with a jab!

    Why a top Light Welterweight??

Brook SHOULD now be in line to fight Alexander after last night, and Alexander although a very good boxer, can be broken. No way Alexanders people will want the fight. All gonna depend, if the IBF force it, on whether Alexander wants to keep his title.

Light welter, welter, someone around that area.

If Brook could overcome Alexander I'd be a believer but as you said it's unlikely they'd want it and I don't think Brook is 1st in line to be mandatory!

Saldivia was a shit opponent.. Just what Brook needed after last time.
Tells us nothing we don't already know about Brook.
Looking at his.record I though this.would have been a cracking fight.
    Anything but.

He's going the IBF route for a reason ... I think he'll get it too.
    Easier option to a title.

The road to a title, theses day's some would say is easy,! but you can get beaten any
time. Take Ricky Burn's he had lost a few, but he has become a respected Champion has he not,
nothing flash a good solid fighter and very underrated.
I have seen a hell of a lot of boxers fight, Brook is a good fighter and I feel will make it to the top
I remember Lloyd Honeygan, was given no chance against Don Curry but he beat him well , and he
was supposed to be the next big thing. So before knocking Brook , think long and hard remember
Floyd and Pacman are the best in the division, they can't last forever and you carry on to long you
will be beat it's a fact.
