    Default Leo Santa Cruz

This guy is fantastic to watch. A hundred and thirty punches a round but for a volume puncher he's so accurate. He's not bad technically either so he has a little bit of defence. Top marks to his opponent Zaleta as well for putting on a hell of a show in the face of that onslaught.

My good friend Gil is his cutman...

I've had the chance to see him train. The only thing I can say is he needs to work on his defense. For someone as young and agile as he is he needs to use his waist more and not get his as much. Zaleta is not the fastest boxer yet he was able to tag Leo.

I'm impressed alot with this kid. His fire and enthusiasm as much as his punch selection and never let up approach. He is a breath of fresh air. When I first saw him I thought we have ourselves a relentless Mexican Wayne McCullough here...but with maximum respects to The Pocket Rocket I think Santa Cruz can eventually run deeper. Mick spot on with mid section flexibility, even though its early I'm looking for a little bend and slide but attribute that more to how good I think he'll eventually be as opposed to what he isn't...if that makes any sense I look forward to his next go and was under the impression he was looking to move up to 122?

I can see him moving up to 122 after another fight or so for some big fights but he might as well stay at bantam for a while and try for some unification fights. I'm not sure how far up the weights he can go with that frame. What do his team think about how far he can go up in weight Mick?
