I'm no nuclear physicist but I can't imagine that the bomb or delivery technology changed so often to need 1000+ tests.

Yea, what I found most interesting about it were the clusters of testing, and then subsequent calm periods. Like for eg, after the first Soviet one went off. Big silence comes over and everyone gathers their collective thoughts. And all of a sudden, boom, boom, boom. Then again, 1962 Cuban missile crisis. Was like a giant penis waving war of test firing.

Good tool, but kind of grotesque too. No surprises regarding who has biggest fondness for the old nuke. Liked them so much they went and used them......twice on innocent populations.
