You are right I think it would be best to call a tradesman.

Scrimping on wall paper paste? :-) are you sure you are not Jewish or Scottish? Must have saved yourself a whole 99p there. Why not go the whole hog and make your own paste with flour and water. Or with the amount of porn you watch you could probably stick it up with man paste.

That would be a real waste.

Good choice of TV mate, will have excellent quality.

Loads of apps connect to smart tv's anyway, for example the YouTube app on my iPhone now lets you click a button on the phone and you can then watch what ever you were watching on the TV, finds a HD version of it too.

I'll pre warn you now, fine tuning the 3d settings can be a bitch. As can the colour etc for other programmes if you are as particular as me.

I am not fussy, I have set the TV picture setting to movie and prefer that and not mess about with it from programme to programme. It is cystal clear. Tried the 3D on some PS3 Games which looks good.

I have to set up the wi fi yet but when I opened it from the box I connected it directly from the internet cable and could watch BBC Iplayer etc. It would not allow me to watch sky, would you know why as I have an account that I watch from the computer using my sisters account?

I also connected to Saddo but it is a right pain to type the words.

I have also connected to free sat rather than free view, it only allows you to set to one not both but it is easy to set up the other one if you prefer but the channels are by and large the same.

Does it have a sky app? It could be that you can only have Sky Go on so many devices, 3 or 4 I think. If you have it on the computer and she has it on iPads and things it could be over.

What does it do when you try and watch sky? It's obviously getting Internet as you can watch other on-demand things and get on saddo. On that, there will probably be an app for your phone that lets you remotely control your tv via your phone. It also doubles up as a mouse and keyboard. The touchscreen mouse actually works really well, the keyboard is obviously a billion times easier than typing using the remote.

As long as you change the picture settings away from shop mode you'll be fine. It's always too bright and colourful. Cinema mode is always a good bet, although sometimes a little dark. Game mode picture (most have that one too) for PS3 will probably be noticeably good, you might just have to turn the brightness down a touch.

Have you watched a 3d film yet?

It would not let me download any apps to the TV and there was room to do it as there was 1 space left for a further device.

Good idea about the PS3 and game mode, did not think of that.

Not watched a 3D film yet, they showed the Olympics in 3D but so far nothing on TV yet to watch on 3D.

I do not have sky but my sister does and I use her account to set up my computer as 1 device and wanted to set up the tv as the second but they do not allow it. I would never pay for sky.

I am going to go all 21st century and go wireless. I may need a get a smart phone and tablet, any suggestions appreciated. As I have a Samsung TV would it be easier to get Samsung phone and tablet, they seem to be an affordable option?

For what you'd want it for, it probably would.
