Default [Mods]Whats up with the "Rep" function.

It only works half the time for me. Again I just tried to rep bobthepen in the Tyson v Spaw thread and nothing, no comment box. I waited, hit it again and it said to spread it around

    Thanks

It works for me and I use it all the time, I think you have to spread the love/rep around.

You cannot 'Rep' the same person if you have 'repped' them recently. You need to 'Rep' some other people ('spreadi it around') and then you can 'rep' that person again.

It was put in place to avoid bummers like Miles and Bilbo abusing the system

It is basically an easy messaging system now, as opposed to actually amounting to much reputation. We basically discovered twitter-sized Private Messaging for the lazy. We could actually remove the limit' per if that is possible now as the rep amounts don't really matter. As in, no one can really exploit it any more. @Saddo, is this possible?

I still dont understand how punch power works. Cool clicks is all funky dory but my PP is lameoid. In real life despite having a worse jaw than porcelain Khan, my PP is not too shoddy, and whilst not sure if I could knock out a horse I could definitely deck princess Margaret, or stun a small donkey.

Maybe we can have a whip round between the posters because I think we could get enough money together to put on a fight between Greenbeez and Princess Margaret.

Never understood the bad rep thing even the biggest twat has never got one from me, because it kinda puts you in the same category when you start dishing out negativity. Positive rep is great though. When you are a new poster the first reps you receive is very encouraging. It's a good way to thank people for posts that are more than run of the mill. If they have taken the time, care and thought to enlighten us, be frank , honest, uberweird, hilarious etc then why not use the rep system to recognise it? For particular awesomeness a coolclick, like and rep is a nice OCD bonus to give too.

The reason you hardly ever get a 'rep' from me @Master is it almost always tells me I must spread it around when I try.
Hell, I can't even butter @Saddo up with an occasional rep.

I've gotten a few negative reps & private messages since i've been here, which sucks because everyone else doesn't see the shit talk on the main forum.

This gave me a good chuckle, thank goodness it's in place, it keeps those "bummers" in check.

Some people just like to see others react with the negative reps. I know boozebag does or used to do it quiite a bit. I thought it might be funny to sad click a guy before. Turns out it almost killed him. Won't be doing that again.

Yeah, I got one from him too, he gets all butt hurt when your opinions differ from his. The thing is, i'm not here to argue with anyone or get into heated debates, i've got better things to do with my time, like surfing for porn, drinking beer or scratching my nuts.
