Default What Book Are You Currently Reading ?

I am just finishing up "How Music Works" by David Byrne. (yes he of Talking Heads). A hugely ambitious effort, but the guy manages to be very succinct and lucid, using his own experiences and theories to posit very interesting ideas on How Music works, Performance. Collaboration, Technology, Business, How to make a Scene etc. I have a very extensive Music literature library (Theory/practice,Artist Biographies,Scenes,Technology etc) and have read much about the subject but have still really enjoyed reading another viewpoint and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Ah..... the Joys of reading on the porcelain throne. Something that improves with age so much so that at some point it becomes your last refuge from the insanity that is the rest of the house.

I can't remember the last time I read a book, probably 20 years ago. These days, I might read an article in a magazine at at the dentist's office, but almost all of the reading I do is online. For me the internet is like a gigantic library. I also get a vast amount of information from the threads Miles starts on this forum. I recently enjoyed "how often do you post drunk", it was very informative.

I believe the last book I read was the History of the World parts I & II, by H.G. Wells, great read.

I am reading a comic book about Captain America who wants to go back into time in 40’’s and be with his friends and family. He cannot adjust to modern life. He then realises that in his time period it was not all it was cracked up to be and that things had moved on for the better.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

The good old days turned out to be the not so good old days.

I'm reading The Enemy, a Jack Reacher novel by Lee Child. I have started reading in spurts, I'll read one book after another for a month or so, then nothing for a couple of months.
This reading in spurts has been going on for about five years, before that I was reading something every night I could, and I've come to realize I was using the reading as down time or stress relief.
I've always had to make time for my reading, I assume most of us do, but now when I have the time, I sometimes say screw it and do something else. Less stress maybe?
How about you guys, how have your reading habits changed over the years?
