Turn your shoulders.
Turn your shoulders.
once youre happy with your technique throw it faster
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend
Jab should never be about power, you should concentrate on technique and speed.
You are never going to KO people with a jab, stop trying to make it into something that it isn't suppose to be.
Punch through the target.
Trust me, a fast jab still hurts.
This is very true.
You'll notice some pros who can hit really hard and sometimes KO someone with a fast snappy straight shot, usually throw it from very low with very relaxed shoulders and the speed and strength they get to add to it comes from them slightly shuffling forwards when they throw it, so they move weight in fast.
Watch Mosley its where he caught a few guests he had in the ring. (But guess what eventually beat him?)
Someone working smart from behind a controlling and well timed straight jab, watch Vernon Forrest take Mosleys style apart with it.
Just found this while wandering around. Informative, and it made me like a fighter I didn't much care for previously.
iv been working onit laterly its getting there.it just feels so weak!
If you want to make it a power shot throw it from the hips with the same hip motion as a left hook, it will be fast and powerful, BUT a jab is only meant to be powerful enough to off balance the opponent etc so you can set up your really heavy power shots like the hook and cross. All the best boxing trainers in the world agree with this and its proven to be effective. But now you have an experimental weapon to play with. GL HF.
