Default Pope Benedict XVI to step aside on Feb. 28

I know this will be upsetting to Miles, who's a great admirer of Catholicism, Pope Benedict XVI, and chose Jesus to be his lord and savior.

ROME -- "Pope Benedict XVI announced Monday he will step aside as leader of the world's 1.2 billion Roman Catholics on Feb. 28, saying he no longer has the strength to carry out his duties."

Pope Benedict XVI to step aside on Feb. 28 - World News

I guess now they'll have to find another Pope, perhaps the Vatican can locate another Hitler youth as a replacement, the fuhrer would be proud.

What about the prophecies of St. Malachy.

Scary shit when you consider that Benedict XVI is/was number 111...

    The last before the end.

EDIT*** Darn, I can't post links yet... Just go to youtube and type in Prophesies of St. Malachy***

I'm not Catholic or even XTian...

    Still kinda freaky though.

    End times/Anti-Christ?

Especialy when one considers allllll the crap that's going down in the world right now.

    Benedict was anti-divorce, anti-homosexual and, once, anti-aircraft.

I think they should hold a contest over youtube where people would submit videos as to why they should be the next pope. Wouldn't make Christianity any more of a laughing stock than it already is.

That second image with what looks like an emaciated Jesus hanging pitifully on a cross is just sick. On which plane of existence does the veneration of such an image become
Necessary? From a tradition that strictly forbids the making of idols? Who does the Pope look more like, the humble son of a carpenter whose disciples were simple fishermen or the pompous Pharasees and Money lenders he threw out of the temple?

On a lighter note, gold applique and white silk is all the rage this season. It's so 80's.

The vatican's popes, cardinals look like they belong in a fucking circus, and seem to miss Christ's message don't they. It's more about worshipping/adoring them then it is god or Jesus.

Exactly how do you go about giving notice with that one? At the end of morning prayers does he add a quick, Amen, oh and by the way...I'm out Is there a reprisal? Mafia law apply? You have to have a huge set to tell God thanks...but I'm good?!

They placed themselves in between man and God, taught that God is external instead of internal, they stole the founding movement went with a self made apostle Paul/saul (who never met Yeshua personally) and then they went out and killed all who practiced the older ways (so they thought).they killed so many innocents trying to wipe love out and replacing it with fear of God.
Assholes rewrote and omitted so much from the original texts over a long period during the council of Nicosia and decided that they are host to all on Earth, also what would be in and out of the NT.

That church is the Harlot draped in jewels and sin in the last book, worshiping the false image of god. Gold on the alter, pedophilia and other abuse against children, the most vulnerable of all.

I could go on with a list of what evil their leaders have done in the name of God but wont bore you.

Some Catholics are lovely people though and they do good things for others and will be safe from 2d.

Considering that Jesus supposedly died for mankind, I find it somewhat lame that the Pope couldn't carry on to the end. Endure your pain and have a tough time, old man. This is how it is. You can't go waltzing off to a care home and stop telling poverty stricken and fertile people not to use contraception. What a sell out. It would be like Jesus saying 'I'm done with the miracles, I just want to work in Ikea now. Go away and leave me alone!'.

We could run a book on which of the new candidates dribbles the least.
