    @Rantcatrat

    I had a feeling this was going to happen at some point even with the GYM/INTERBOX rivalry. I remember it being talked about a couple of years ago when both men were headed in a different direction. Well as much as I hate to say it they both seem headed in the same direction now so they might as well cash out in Quebec.

    It's probably an easier fight for Pascal than Dawson is imo

    I wonder if they will ditch the Dawson fight & go straight to Bute?

    I have not really kept up with Pascal since his fight with Froch, but I remember it being very close. Froch has definitely improved a great deal since then and I am guessing Pascal has slipped a bit. Sounds like a good challenging match for Bute who struggled against a less than average guy last time out.

    It's pretty plain that Dawson is getting screwed in this deal, but boxing is a business, and business is about money.
    If Dawson was a more exciting fighter, I wouldn't have to wait for the Pascal vs Dawson rematch.
    If-ing and waiting is a huge part of boxing, as we all know.

    The problem is what right would you prefer to see? Hate to say it, but Pascal vs. Bute is a pretty compelling matchup.

    Its being reported that the will both make 2 mil so to bad Chad. So it not only makes sense doing it now because of nagging injuries and nagging confidence issues with Bute it also makes a ton of cents. Cash it in. Oh and it will also be a great fight and one I may fly across country for.

    Oh, I'll be watching Pascal vs Bute, you can be sure of that. I just don't like unfinished business like Pascal/Dawson, Bradley/PacMan or Froch/Bute.
    In the good old days, rematches and controversial decisions were taken care of right away as a general rule.

    Part of me thinks Pascal knocks Bute out cold. It's at 175, Pascal is bigger, and Bute is still fresh from the debilitating loss to Froch. If Bute can stay on task, the fight will be interesting. If this were pre-Froch, I would take Bute on the cards. Now, I'm not so sure. Have they ever sparred together in the past? It's definitely a fight worth seeing live. What can we expect good tickets to cost to this one?

    I'm excited by this fight. Will no doubt be the tv undercard to Froch v Kessler.

    I saw Hopkins v Pascal and had decent seats about 15 rows up from the floor. They were about $270...

    Probably see this live if it happens.

    This is a serious question, asked respectfully. What do you like about him? His style, his background, the way he came to boxing or maybe it's something he does outside of boxing?

    I started a thread a while back asking the question is Bute damage goods? We're going to find out. Not too many fighters can take a beating like that and be Champ again.

    I think Pascal is probably in worse shape than Bute. He can't stay healthy enough to even start a fight.
