Default Malik Scott (35-0) is finally stepping up

Scott Tells Glazkov: I'm From Philly, I Won't Quit Like Tor! - Boxing News

Glazkov (14-0, 10 KOs) looked very good last time out against Tor Hamer. I've seen Malik Scott a few times over his 12 year career, never been super impressed.

Its nice to see he is finally taking a risk against a near world class fighter.

Can Scott do it ? Or will be just end up being an opponent ?

I've never seen Glazkov fight, Scott I have at least twice I think. He looks really good in spots and definetly has some skills, but he can't punch at all it seems and his opposition has been appaling. I always assume when a fighter is handled that way it's for a reason, I haven't watched him enough or don't have the eye to pick it exactly what that might be though. Has he ever fought anyone who could punch or fight period? A bit silly that he wants to big himself up for being from Philly and that he won't quit or whatever when he's got to be in his mid 30s having never taken a single risk in his career.

Scott is as one dimensional of a guy there is but he uses his physical tools to his advantage. Live, he has the longest arms of any fighter I've ever seen. He looks like a heavyweight Paul Williams. He's 6'4 or 6'5 but he's a really tall 6'5 because of his inproportionately long arms. That said, he looks like a case of get past the jab and who freakin knows what you got to me. That's the truth. He's a bore but he's got talent. Lets see if that talent extends beyond playing pitter pat on the outside. I'm not going to say I'm excited because I can't get excited for the heavyweight Zahir Raheem but it is a bit intriguing.

Scott proved us doubters wrong and won that damn fight clearly against Glazkov, only to be robbed.

I'd like to see Scott vs. Deontay Wilder. Two big rangy heavyweights, one with KO power and one with superior boxing skills.

I've never heard of Malik Scott. Must be a testament to his competition when he's been around for 12-13 years, undefeated, and I've never heard of the guy.

Apparently you've never played "Mike Tyson's Heavyweight Championship boxing" on the PS2 either....
