Default Kubrat Pulev looks to be the best of the contenders now

I can't help but think that after Price proved tonight he can't take a punch that Pulev has to be the one which has the best chance of winning and holding on to a title. The punch he took off Ustinov in his last fight was just mad and he came back.

Not really sure it does the popularity of heavyweight boxing any favours having some unkown Bulgarian as champion but there u go

Nobody is beating Wladimir... imagine if Wlad's right caught Price it would be goodnight sweetheart. Same with Vitali. Not only will no one beat the brothers its hard for them to find credible opponents. I still think the Stiverne-Arreola winner has the best shot vs Wlad.

Agreed on all counts. I'd also like to see David Haye get his head out of his ass and fight the winner of Arreola-Stiverne just to leave no doubt as to the best HW not named Klitschko.

I should add it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Vitali lose soon. He has shown a pretty steady decline over the last couple of years, to me.

To beat Vitali you have to be tough and come to fight...any ideas on who fits that bill? I think Vitali will retire without another loss....would have been neat if Valuev decided to fight either brother as he pussed out every other time.

I wasn't suggesting there is anyone good enough to have beaten Vitali until quite recently, only that he could well be rapidly on the slide. He is well up there in years, has a lot of wear and tear and past injuries etc and a political career outside of the ring. It may not be nearly the order it was only a year or two ago to beat him, we'll see.

Also, I take it you mean it would've been neat to see Valuev fight one of the Klits just for the sight of a guy that size being KOed? Valuev was utter shit and I honestly don't think he could have beaten Carl Froch.

yeah Valuev had no skill. Well, he had some skill to maintain at the upper lever? Anyway, Pulev never beats a K2 . i don't see it, he doesn't have the power and which many people forget ATHLETICISM . Price just lost. So who is the next HWY champ ; could be Wilder or Fury , Price (if he can rebound) or an upcoming fighter. Post your thoughts people

People seem to be really high on pulev. Hes being hyped as if hes head and shoulders above other young contenders at HW but I dont see it. Hes decent but no better than the furys and the povetkins of the world.

Assuming Fury beats Cunningham, he has a fight with Pulev to determine a mandatory with Vitali.
