Default Juan Diaz making a comeback on April 13th 2013

Juan Diaz To Make Ring Return on April 13 in Texas - Boxing News

No opponent yet or word on the weight. What do you think, can he still make an impact or is this a mistake?

No reason to think its a mistake. I doubt hell make an impact as a world champ but plenty of decent fights for him. Any idea what weight hell fight at. I presume hell go back to light weight and hope to god he doesnt go up to welter

Wasn't he supposed to have a comeback about a year ago and dropped out of that fight? He will have a few descent fights. He was never going to be great and i can't imagine him being any better with years away from the sport.

IF Diaz can get back into his old form, physically and mentally, a fight with Rios would be very fun.

But who knows where his head is at right now. The last time he faced Marquez, dude got out of character and fought scared which was so not like him..

He comes back with that kind of mentality and his comeback with turn into a big fail.

He was busy and in top shape but, at his best, he wasn't very good. Fought real dumb and like he wanted to get hit with uppercuts. Hopefully he'll not look good out the gate and give it up for good. If he wins a few and tries to step up he has at least one bad beating in his future.

I don't even like Rios nor do I rate him that highly but he'd beat the shit out of Diaz cause even though it would be fun for like 3 rounds, Diaz doesn't have the power or stamina to even trouble Rios

I always liked Juan Diaz, and figured we were seeing the best he had.
If he's coming back to pick up some set up or get started money that's OK, if he's coming back thinking about fighting near the top or at the top, for any length, he's going to be kicked downstairs fast, in my opinion.
