    Default Cheer on your boys!

After watching price crumble against thompson i too had a sinkin feeling because i thought he was the next big thing. But i felt a wee bit better that britain as whole has some pf the best heavyweight talent still with price and fury, fury has beaten some good names now and is boxing in new york against steve cunningham. He is also BRITISH why cant guys just say hes fighting for our country and support him. Britain is bad for the lack of loyalty sometimes.

Fury has absolutely no loyalty to Britain or British Boxing fans.

When he vacated the British title rather than defend and get the chance to keep the oldest and most beautiful championship belt in Boxing he made his bed, so he can lie in it.

“I think have showed my true colours over the years. I vacated the British and Commonwealth titles, which some people say are more prestigious than the Irish title, but not to me. I vacated those belts for an Irish title shot because it meant more to me,” Fury said.
“All my people are from Ireland. I was born in Manchester but I am Irish. I have lived in Ireland, visited all my life and when I fight I represent Ireland. It means a lot to me as does the support I get when I fight in Belfast.
“Even when I was disowned by some when I wanted to fight for Ireland in the Olympics I still said I was Irish. Right from the start of my career I always had the Irish colours with me and when I win a World title it will be for Ireland.”

Unless Fury gently cuffs Price on the side of the head first of course.

They're both pretty ordinary, but I can't see Price getting past Fury.

Out of the 2 of them I'd say Fury has shown more. He has been put down and got back up, he has fought a 12 rounder at a decent pace, he is prepared to travel.

Even Price said he can understand Fury not taking the fight with him just yet because they can build up more interest and make more money.

Bottom line is though I haven't seen anything 'special' in either of them. Fury is like the Klitschkos in that his huge size advantage will win a lot of fights where if he was the same size as his opponent then he would have a much greater chance of losing. (makes sense to me)

Price has shown decent power but a few of his opponents were there for a payday. Tom Dallas could have given him a decent fight if in shape but ended up being maloneys sacrificial lamb to repay a gift decision he got previously. Price has just been stopped by a shot that didn't look like a KO shot whether it bust his ear or whatever and he will now have to step it up and prove everyone wrong.

Maybe talent wise Price is better than Fury but I think Fury is the tougher man. In a hard long fight Price would give up first for me.
