Default Scott Quigg - Yoandris Salinas - Agreement reached

Both teams have apparently agreed terms to fight for the WBA belt. Details to follow shortly. I have heard rumours that Hearn may put it on the Haye -Fury Undercard which will mean Quigg gets to revisit the place where he stopped Monroe. Good Omen ? we shall see. Can't wait

Boxing is such a joke. How can you justify this as a world title bout? Quigg you could argue deserves it considering he beat former world title challenger Monroe so impressively but Salinas has fought no one of note as a pro.

Salinas had a good amateur career but I think he will be too small for Quigg.

No ratings make sense. Rigo is THE man in this division and that's all that matters. Quigg has basically been WBA champ since Rigo was made superchamp.

Quigg in my eyes should have got the decision, not much in it I can see Scott stopping Salinas
in the rematch, the Cuban did not like the body punches at all,! Quigg should have put his foot
on the gas earlier he would have stopped Salinas.
Salinas a the early stages looked good, technically a excellent boxer but poor at in fighting,!
Quigg was sickening him with the body punches, roll on the rematch.

Quigg doesn't have to rematch him. I highly doubt they'll want to make that fight again. Quigg was bloody lucky he was "upgraded" to champ before the contest.

Draw was fair. Quigg and his team fucked up the tactics bigtime, they'd have been kicking themselves today if that went against them

He doesn't have to. And he won't. Cuz it wouldn't make sense from a financial standpoint. Quigg will take his gift and move on.

Quigg is a decent fighter and I like the way he works the body but the Brits really overrate him. All those talks of him beating Rigo somehow makes me chuckle .... he's nowhere near that level.. a pure boxer with no punching power like salinas outboxed him so I can only imagine what rigo would do to him..

Id be shocked if quigg can stand up to Santa Cruz..

Yeah I was guilty of that and I live a little North of Britain. Quigg learned alot in this fight and solved the puzzle in the last few rounds. If he fights the same opponent or style again I would suspect to see something different. Thats what boxing is all about and btw the draw was a joke. Quigg won the fight and did so in champion like fashion from 10 through 12.

What "Brits" said that? Name me five people on this site? Not even Quigg's promoter rates him against Rigo.
