    Default Kovalev vs. Stevenson.

I think this would be a very fan-friendly fight.

It would be short and explosive. Stevenson is pretty much a one handed power puncher while kovalez has a combination of skills and power.

Kovalez knocks him out mid rounds.

Stevenson is one hand power yea, but is say he holds much more power.

Kovalev has knock down power, Stevenson has knock OUT power.

If we are talking about one punch KO power, yep, Stevenson takes the cake but these guys have different types of power.

If Stevenson has snapping power like Tyson, then Kovalev has thudding power like Vitali. This guy has some very heavy hands and I think it's safe to say that if his first shot lands flush, it's pretty much the beginning of the end for the other guy. He has the kind of punching power that can cause long term damage. With that said, Id rather get hit by Stevenson than Kovalev who can cause internal damage.

Both guys are knockout artists imo but they just go about it in a different way.. Kovalez have more than knockdown power that's for sure.

I like it. Someone's going to sleep.

Not sure if Stevenson fancies this fight though. I imagine he'll be more interested in a Bhop or Ward showdown.

Why take less money to fight a brutal puncher like Kovalev.

Yea and on top of that, the winner of Stevenson-Cloud has an immediate defense against Bellew so i doubt Kovalev fight happens anytime soon. It can marinate for a few months.

Agreed. Kovalev appears to be a more polished boxer than Stevenson. That might be the difference. If Stevenson can't land flush, Kovalev will out-box him. Also, isn't Stevenson's chin a little bit suspect because of his knockout loss to Boone?

^^ Definitely. We need to see Stevenson in a proper fight, as impressive as icing Dawson like that was he still strikes me as a kill or be killed type of fighter. I'm really hoping to be at his fight with Cloud live, no idea who goes in that one.

Kovalev is a lot less frantic and has a poised attack, Stevenson probably gets himself blasted out early there imo.

This one really has a sit up straight and stfu appeal! Great mutual power a'flyin. I think Kovalev thumps him down like driving a telephone pole into the ground and gets the tko. He's a far better long power boxer and sets little subtle traps for a guy. Stevenson is hell coming forward but Kovalev has power that sits on you like a ton of weights. It lingers and I think Stevenson would unwravel when forced backward.

But, as much as I like Kovalev in fairness..who's hit him When has he proven he can absorb a huge bomb . He had Campillo and Clevery throwing punches from the backseat early and not believing in any sort of power. Playing devils advocate we all know Stevenson got sparked, we also know he was able to fully come back and shake the ghosts. It's a Hell of first case of pure puncher for Kovalev to be chin checked by.

Good point, however Kovalev really doesn't fight like someone who is worried about getting hit, wheras Stevenson does to a tee. Even in his rematch with Boone, Stevenson looked wary and didn't impress anyone.

Yeh, these two strike me as night and day when it comes to keeping a level head and being comfortable in their own skin as the saying goes. Kovalev hasn't face a big puncher, but boxing skill and being relaxed behind that arsenal when he does will bode well for him. Much of that can be contributed to having a mind like John D. Jackson in his corner also.
