I was half-expecting him to say - "Ross from Saddoboxing made that up... and by the way, get this, there was this fighter called Long Socks that once sparked Haye."

Look how sheepish he goes when asked

At first he says "I cant do that" when asked to confirm if he'd done it but then quickly changes to "no" but then he also hints that Richard Towers also did it.

After watching a few videos of Wilder I quite like him. He seems like a bit of a clown like Fury, not taking himself too seriously.

Maybe one day he could aspire to be Furys opponent rather than just his opponents sparring partner

Poor dude. The most significant things he's done in a ring yet and it turns out to be a fairy tale .

Me and a trusted friend spoke to Wilder personally, when this rumor came out about him KOing Haye. He assured us that it was NOT true.

Thanks for the heads up. Welcome to Saddo.

I expect they might have knocked each other down in sparring, but no KO. All massive guys and if they are just stood there throwing bombs, on occasions someone might go down, no shame in that.

He seems like a nice guy.

But one thing to consider is that the golden rule of sparring is to not divulge info about the fighter you're working with. Not saying that Deontay really did spark Haye, but if he did there's no way he would admit he did. Why would he be working in David's camp and then speak about a potential weakness for Fury to hear? Nobody would ever work with him if he was snitching people out like that.

Theres no way he'd admit it if he did, although hypothetically if Wilder really does have as much power as people seem to suggest, putting down a smaller heavy weight like Haye once during their entire time in camp isn't out of the question.

Too true. What happens in the gym stays in the gym. If it did ever happen, it still shouldn't be given too much weight in terms of how relevant it is for the fight.
