    Default Malignaggi as a commentator?

How good or bad would you say Paulie Malignaggi is as a commentator?

I think he's excellent. So far I've not witnessed much bad (apart from giving a 10-9 round when it was clearly 10-8, forgot the fight).

Agreed, he's well spoken and pretty much spot on with the analysis of the fights.

knowledgeable, well spoken, and best of all he's un-biased, and always gives a honest impartial blow by blow analysis of how the fight is turning out

I think he's great. Superbly sharp with insight. 'Catching and shooting off the pivot'. Makes Jones jr sound like he has a mouth full of marbles.

plus Jones turned into just another HBO lackey going for the favorite in most fights, exaggerating their performance while ignoring the work of their opponent. pretty much how every Pacquiao and Donaire fight would play out

I lost a lot of respect and appreciation for Jones on the mic during the Williams v Lara fight. Calling Williams finished, going on about guys needing to know when to get out, he should retire etc. It was the truest hypocrisy and he sounded like he was seriously dellusional.

Hahah, I'd forgotten all about that it was seriously priceless. Must have been some kind of cognitive dissonance further conflicting with Roys third person ego maniacal complex, it was as though he was crying out to himself for help without the slightest sense of irony about it. That was after the Lebedev KO to boot wasn't it

That entire Williams Lara fight was so awkward. I just wanted to see the look on the other guys's face during the fight. As for Pauli I really enjoy his work. Though I must admit my bias, I always liked showtime announcers more than HBO.

Yup, Paulie is a great announcer. I thought he was a bit uninspired during the Floyd fight but other than that I enjoy the insight he brings to the Mike. Overall Showtime is doing an excellent job with boxing. I like how they replay fights during the week, allows me to watch fights several times a week. I like HBO as they have so many good miniseries but they have gone downhill with boxing

something like that, I remember him saying something about feeling like Michael Jackson or whatever in other countries, and that who would want to give up that feeling, all the while preaching about when a fighter should be hanging them up

Jim Lampley sucks a lot of favorite fighter dick and apart from offering a bit of colorful commentary he's not all that knowledgeable and he's biased as fuck and that's for damn sure

The new Lampley has become bored with the fights that are being made... can't blame him, as HBO has taken a backseat to Showtime.
