Default Chavez Jr. v. Carl Froch

Junior called out Froch and the other elite at 168. What do you guys think of a fight between Junior and Froch? Can you Junior hack it against a tough, top super middleweight?

Froch would box his way to a UD. He might not knock him out but Froch is an all round better boxer.

A donut could outbox Junior McNugget. Froch slaughters him in a crime not seen since Jack the Ripper decided to venture down unlit paths.

Ha Jr can't even make super middle it would seem. Joke of a fighter, living of his dad's reputation, fighting bums, and a cheat. I don't even think he's a particularly big draw so don't think Froch would bother with him.

Froch would be too strong for him but would make a fairly routine comfortable hi profile win.

Chavez would certainly be an easier fight than someone like Bika.

I don't think Arum would let him outta his highchair long enough. Froch would turn him over his knee and spank him. He wants to belong so bad.

Sergio Martinez busted Jr all up, Froch would beat the living fuck out of him, and either knock him the fuck out, or stop him due to swelling and cuts, Chavez doesn't ever beat a A level fighter in his career, even with a weight advantage

Pretty much a consensus view that Froch would slaughter Junior. Junior can bang though and has a chin. As crazy as this sounds, he might actually be the bigger man in the ring.

With all that said, it's still a captivating fight.

I think Chavez has a great shot.. C'mon fellas.. Froch isn't exactly a boxing master. lol I kinda chuckled when one of you stated that he'd outbox Chavez..

We could get a better idea after this weekend.. We gotta see how Chavez performs at a higher weight..

In what way exactly? he's gonna be in there with a exaggeratedly blown up middleweight while he's probably gonna be a Cruiserweight in the ring on fight night

Froch isnt a master boxer but he's also not just a straight up crude brawler, fights against johnson and abraham showed that, I think froch would do some outboxing along the way and would get a unanimous decision that's pretty wide.

    You mean fatter?

If Froch had the same amount of fat hed be a heavyweight. He looks like one of this people who suffer from an over active thyroid and cannot put any fat on. There is a freaky looking English man who is some arm wrestling champ who has this thing.

    At what weight?

If we're playing "Junior chooses the weight"..... then Froch might be in for some trouble.
Junior will keep him guessing, and then come in at 185.

Chavez Jr. is becoming a funny sideshow in the circus of boxing.

    Would make no difference.

Against a blown up light middle or middle maybe but you are talking a genuine super middle who has almost no body fat.

Froch is looking for easy money fights at the moment so I think he could spare a couple of months to take on Junior in the US and increase his exposure over there.
