I don't understand this obsession with coming back and fighting Jones Jr beyond the money motive. It's a pointless fight being out a decade and a half. If Jones is going to fight it should be something fun like James Toney. Who on earth cares less about Collins/Jones Jr? I don't want to see it in the slightest, it doesn't even have a curiosity factor as I don't rate Collins all that highly. At least Eubank had the balls to fight Calzaghe.

Still, fair play on getting the win. However, I don't want to encourage him.

What a freak show. He thinks a 3 rounded vs a guy even older than him prepares him for Roy Jones? He hasn't fought a real fight in 16 years. Roy Jones just fought and beat an undefeated, ranked 30 year old last year. It's no contest.

Collins caught eubanks and benn on the slide bigtime. He is a good fighter but roy jones would pick him apart at any stage.

Let them fight. I would watch..on a stream,

Steve needs to forget about Roy but should aim to fight Flintoff.

    Spot on.

Jones Jr -v- Collins was not even that attractive a matchup in 1996, so what makes Collins think that the world wants to see that fight 17 years later when he's practically 50 & Jones Jr is more washed up than James Toney's favourite spoon is beyond me.

Collins is 50 years old ffs, there is no assurance he would beat me. Hopefully Jones retires, but fighting Collins would be zero risk if he wants to dick around like that.

It was only a piss around exhibition but that was also an out of shape 52 year old ex welter weight and it looked as if Collins had to hold a few times.

In an exhibition you are exhibiting your skills. If thats the best Collins has now, he wouldnt last 2 or 3 rounds with Jones now.

Because they would make out it is the biggest fight in boxing between legends and worthy of PPV.

Go to 22 and 44 seconds of that video and remember that is a fat, small 52 year old then imagine a fit, active Roy Jones and you yave to wonder if Collins gets out of the first round!
