i think the thing many people are failing to recognize is that stevenson isnt and probably will never be at the level to where he is a heavy favorite over any contender. i couldnt say for certain that he would beat anybody in the top 10 LHWs right now. i think that he would beat most of them but i wouldnt be surprised to see him lose.
he has had a good run but i think that it doesnt last long.
Give him a solid jab or double jab and a damn right hook to go along with it and I'll be pleased immensely with him.
He's still a one handed fighter..
Pacman used to be one handed as well but he developed a right hand after getting taught a lesson by Morales.. Roach introduced it as the Manilla Ice..
Stevenson needs to add more shit to his arsenal if he wants to stay at top for awhile...

I think hes doing the best with what he has. I think much of the success hes been enjoying thus far is how other have put it.. circumstantial. Hes having a good year, but the prophecy by Manny steward that Stevenson was based largely that Dawson was more of a tin man than Stevenson's prowess. I hate to discount a hardworking fighter that tries hard every time out. He's learn to keep his hand next to his chin with is another feather in his cap.
The truth is the showboating hes prone to sometimes is not only unwarranted but outright stupid when you're stalking a guy in the ring and your just out of range. You wanna dazzle us with some speed, head movement, or pick your perfect shot... great. If you're doing it to spice up a rinse and repeat grind down of a limited or less than game opponent.... its a little empty. I think the sticking point with this guy is that his personality is bigger than his skill level is and it doesn't sit well with some people. Many people are just waiting for the moment he gets caught to jump up and say I told you so to HBO, the media, Quebec, the guy that named him superman, anyone who's turned a trick under him and anyone else in the hype parade. Sad, but true.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
