Default Tony Bellew vs. Valery Brudov is set for March 15th in Liverpool, Brook on Undercard

Bellew-Brudov Set For 3/15, Kell Brook on The Bill - Boxing News

Good fight for Tony to begin with. Brook is on the undercard as is Stephen Smith who is fighting David Saucido for the WBC Silver 130lb belt. Paul Smith, Callum Smith, Kal Yafai & Kevin Mitchell are on ther bill plus Rocky Fielding is fighting Tony Dodson too. Really good card, will look forward to it.

It will be interesting how Bellew responds from his beating. Brooks is treading water, which is dangerous.

If Bellew looks good id at cruiser, id love to see a domestic showdown with him and Ola, that would be a terrific fight. I read Ola is fighting for an IBF elimination in his next fight.

    Brilliant card.. !!!
I really like the look of Callum Smith from what I've seen already.

For me one of the top young prospects and looked top draw last time out against a tough opponent , stopping Ruben Acosta in 6 and bagging 6 straight 1st round KOs before that.

He's only 23 with fierce power, goes to the body loads, cracking jab and he's tall too (6ft 3 I think).

Spars with Froch a lot too and for me could be a World Champ all day long.

Brook and Mitchell will both be fighting cab drivers because they have bigger fights already lined up.

Tony Dodson retires after every fight then 6 months later pops-up in a title fight. Impressive.

Mazing how boxing fans look forward to "great cards" when everyone already knows whos winning each fight its pathetic. Usual shite being put on in the UK

I enjoy watching the new UK talent progressing

Fights like Brook and Mitchell are having always have the danger of throwing up a big upset.

I agree and like watching the young up and comers come through but there is this thing called progression which is lacking in the English game. Take Brook for example, Hatton, Jones, Saldivia, Jones, Senchenko. His last 5 fights and if anything hes going backwards. This is why I think English boxers dont progress and go onto be great world champs as often as they could. Not tested enough early - mid career and then take a big jump to world level and dont last long. It probably does there wallet good but legacy wise I think its bad for them

Every single part of this post I agree with. When Brook beat McIntyre by blowing him away in a round we all sat up and took notice because at the time it was regarded as a tough test for that stage of his career and when he moved to Matchroom he'd already cleaned out the domestic scene. He goes to Matchroom and I thought we'd see massive progression but for some reason they're moving him at snail pace and it really isn't good for him long term. He isn't going backwards though, he's standing still while guys like Thurman are running past him. This happens with lots of British of British fighters, Tony Bellew is another example.

Another thing that happens with British fighters is when they win a world title they fight complete tomato cans and don't fight anyone with a pulse. Ricky Burns overachieved and the Mitchell fight was impressive but his defenses at 130lb were a joke. I don't think they're prepared for Crawford and I think they fully expect to lose the title. This happened with Nathan Cleverly too and it seems to be all part and parcel of being a Frank Warren world champion. It's a shame for Ricky that he didn't get to Matchroom sooner.
