    Default Virgil hunter..

    I really like this guy.
He has such a calm, smooth manner.
Such a great trainer and always respectful to other fighters and trainers.

    What are your thoughts?

I've trained under two different guys who used to go to Kings Gym and both speak highly of Virgil.

There are many very good trainers out there they just never get the recognition as they never get that one special guy to make them famous. Fortunately, Andre Ward is that guy for Hunter.

I think he's a lazy fucker. Can't even be bothered to get in the ring between rounds.

Truthfully, I don't care that much for him. I can't argue with all the good things said about him.

It's his ultra calm demeanor in the corner, he sounds like he is talking to an 8 or 9 year old. His manner grates on my nerves, I can't help it.

Most of the time I'm perfect, but I have been told occasionally that I can be a prick.

I think he's overrated as a trainer tbh.. He's been real vocal lately talking alot of nonsense on Fighthype ..

The way he comes off reminds me of Nazim Richardson whose another trainer that's not all that he's cracked up to be.. Ya remember when Richardson tried to sound all philosophical and shit, talking about dragons and shit.. lol

It cracks me up when Floyd Sr clowns on Richardson by mimicking that towel flicking thing haha..

Hunter is overrated... He's not even on Goosen's level.. Garcia is better than him too.

Agreed never understood why he did not get in the ring. Was he too big? Did he not have the appropriate license?

Nazim does like to be all floating in the stars with the clouds and flying carpets talk but he has had a stroke ffs.

Its a miracle he can still train.

Hunter is the wright trainer for Ward, totally the wrong trainer for Khan, Khan is pure speed
not your typical Vigil fighter, old school trainer I have not been impressed with Khan, since
    he's been with Hunter.
I feel Khan is a really excellent boxer, he is let down by his chin nobody ever outboxes Khan
but in his last fight he looked dreadful, very un Khan like Hunter is not the trainer for Khan.

    Who is then?

I think the phrase you cant polish a turd is too harsh in that situation but what happens if khan looses to floyd?

    Another trainer change?

How much change has khan had over the years? He has always had his speed but his punch resistance is the same.

Hunter is like a poor man's floyd sr.. I say this because he made a career out of one fighter in andre ward.. he was fortunate to have trained an exceptional talent but with a guy like ward, he would have been good under any trainer..

Khan has regressed under hunter imo.. he hasnt changed anything..same with angulo..

He needs to take notes from nacho beristain.

Khan is looking for something he can't find the ability to take a good shot on the chin, but I feel
Virgil is all wrong for Khan, Hughie Fury maybe as Tyson says he's the best trainer out there,:rolleyes
