    Default Beatles 50th Anniversary

2-9-2014 will mark the 50th anniversary of the Beatles coming to America. 73 million people tuned in that night. I was only 9 but remember it very well. CBS will mark the event with a 2 hour show.

I think Justin Beiber will be as big. Just you wait and see.

USA went nuts over the Beatles, they were nearly bigger than Jesus.

The show starts in about a hour from now. Can't wait. They change the world and me forever.

I was born after the Beatles broke up but I am a Beatle fanatic. Actually, I am the 3,789 Beatle.

Think I was five when they arrived,by the time Sergent Peppers and flared trousers were into Australia I was in sixth grade heading for high school. My mum and my mates mum made flared school pants for us both,we grew our hair long over the Christmas holidays and walked into high school very popular with the girls there and even more popular with the high school bullies. Should have worn a target instead.

Good mix from different times there.

Love how in sync and harmony they are on the song 'Help' live. @16.05

I've got all the albums on vinyl on original pressings

If you go left and right on the balance you get drums and guitar on one side and vocals and bass on the other, actually I got loads of 60s stuff holed up...Stones original albums , The Who etc also got shitloads of ticket and programmes from gigs my mum and dad went to back in the day.

100% the reason I started djing , I used to play tunes at their wild house parties when I was about 10 flicking from vinyl to cassette and back after my dad laid out the tunes for me, my dad used to drag me round all the underground record shops in London as a "Day Out" and I used to love it

His Vinyl collection was incredible and we had a decent size lounge and back to back you could have made 4-5 wall to wall rows easily with just the LPs.

The Who at the Isle of white festival and Hendrix at the roundhouse in London are 2 gigs they swear blew them away and that Who set is on you tube and awesome still.

For stage presence they both agree that Springsteen at Wembley on July 4th in the 80s was the best thing thet ever saw and funnily enough the were standing just to the right of Frank Bruno in the special enclosure lol.

I like Revolver as an album but dont agree they were the best band ever.

I think the Stones had equally as good tunes maybe better and the Who without doubt had a better drummer, bassist , lead and were miles ahead in terms of stage presence and live shows.

I saw the Who ( the two) at Hyde Park 10-12 years ago after Entwhistle died and that had Ringos son on drums and blew every new band off the stage.

    Amazing
