    Default Curtis stevens

Has there been a thread about his win against polish Patrick. What are the chances of seeing Stevens v Quillen, I'm hearing a lot of rumbling about the fight but I don't even think it could happen.

That was a very exciting victory, but I had never heard of his opponent.

He's a force at middleweight, but I just don't think he can beat the top guys.

On any given night that left hook could change my mind though.

It's hard to make anything much of that, we know the guy is a serious puncher capable of blowing out club fighters. I'd like to see him against Quillin, that's almost a pick em fight to me. Quillin isn't hard to hit clean and doesn't have much footwork, Stevens would be really dangerous in that one.

If you blinked you missed it. A half jab and the guy was looking for the exit door on the canvas. He has nice pop at a lower level but its only when your 1st gear doesn't work that you really know what you have. Quillin can work that predictability and his default squaring against him for a nice win but can't see them fighting. Have a feeling that Quillin vs Jacobs comes off

Quillin out-grits Stevens.... as Quillin does in every fight.

A rich-man's Sakio Bika, Quillin is.

I wouldnt say he's a force at MW.. he just has power in that left hook but his style is predictable as he fights in one gear.

Stevens is better than joe blow Rosado though for sure..

Would love to see quillin against him.

Rosado was gaining some steam for a while, but opted for the big payday's as the opponent and going up in weight.

I still think he and Anuglo should have a rematch, course of Angulo beats Canelo then nevermind bout the rematch.

I don't think Kirkland would like that. He's an aggressive beast, but soooo easy to hit and he'd be fighting a damn former light heavyweight puncher....BAD NEWS.

Yeah, I think I'd put money on Kirkland going out in the first round, even at dead even odds. He might have lost to that unknown import Stevens just clobbered at 160, I really don't think he's much good at all.

To me, Stevens is still an interesting opponent for anyone outside of Golovkin of course. He looks to be in pretty good form, he's still a young guy and should probably have always been fighting at 160. I don't remember how seriously he tagged GGG in that fight if at all? Worth a rewatch to see his expression getting up alone

Reachin pretty far back for those losses imo especially Marcos primera.

Margarito already showed us who Sergio Martinez is by that reasoning.

That's fair enough, it's just that Stevens does hit hard if nothing else, a good deal harder than Angulo I suspect. Kirkland can't do anything to avoid getting hit against anybody, and that doesn't seem it's going to change. The Brinkley fight was really bad for Stevens, but that was at 168, well above where Kirkland will ever fight. I'll bet Anne Wolfe could take James in that division

He is lacking for quality wins.
