It's not sour grapes, it's blatantly obvious and against the rules of boxing. I had no vested interest in the fight, it's just unbelievable that you can count on a consistently terrible performance by Cole and the state of Texas. He's awful and I wouldn't be surprised if he was doing Canelo/Angulo either. I would say I would want to see a rematch but I would rather have Lomo develop more first because even if he beat Salido in a rematch, things wouldn't go well for him afterwards. No problem with Salido using the lowblows either, they weren't being called so by all means. Again, it's not sour grapes. It's just a terrible job being done by a referee.

Laurence Cole IS a horrible ref, BUT if it's not called then it's not a foul.

Yeah if it's in the rulebook then it should be enforced blah blah blah, but if the ref never says "Keep the shots up" or "I'll deduct a point next time" then the other fighter has to either retaliate until the ref is forced into action OR deal with it being a no call.


How Cole keeps getting good fights to ref is beyond me, he's incompetent

Yup and the guy also has a ego beyond belief. A tough but limited skilled boxer exposed him too early in his career. Big balls to take this fight but it was also a big stupid mistake. Where does he go from
here since he only wants the top tier? Guy must not really want to fight just wants to make as much big money as fast as he can. He did impress me but clearly he is not all that. Garcia would finish him. A polished amateur is no match for a polished pro ( except Rigo)

Ghad.... this was DISGRACEFUL!!! It was worse than when I first saw it. The ref saw it clearly... and did NOTHING. A boxing review should happen and this fight should be a no contest.

I always thought Cole was extremely comptent at doing everything he could to help the house fighter (Bute Andrade the most obvious example) which was why he kept getting the big fights. This is the first time he's gone against type.

The ref is supposed to be there to protect all fighters, not just be against the one that happens to be the least experienced.

Those low blows were disgraceful. I would ask for a no-contest.
