Default Odlanier Solis - Where does he go? And don't say Burger King.

This was an entertaining fight and a victory for boxing when you think that Solis was technically the home fighter (In turkey strangely). But it did look sketchy to begin with.

Thompson fought like the old pro he is and dominated the fight in my opinion. He showed determination and a lot of skill considering Solis was considered the much more skilled fighter.

Solis showed how quick he is because he was winning the fight on all scorecards after 4 rounds, and I didn't mange to see many of his punches, in fact I didn't think he was all that busy but the judges don't lie right? So he must be so fast that I couldn't see his punches.

All in all the judges eventually worked it out and the deserved winner ..... Won.

Solis is the laziest fighter I have ever seen, he's overrated and over hyped and he would get his ass whooped against any fighter that stays busy.

I didn't actually follow a lot his amateur career but tbh I think he should have stayed there.

I believe he needs a year in the gym getting to like 215 and comfortable before he even considers another fight.

Where does he go in your books?

    Batman.

McDonalds. It someone can not be bothered to get in shape for a fight of significance, then what hope is there for the division. Pathetic.

You wont like this but Peter Fury.

Hes got Chambers motivated and in good shape.

Solis has all the skill in the world. He just needs someone that will ush his fitness and being in the same camp as the Furys and Chambers is good sparring on tap. Not to mention all the other fighters they draft in regularly.

Hey mate anyone that can keep Chambers in shape and who has shown he can get Fury in shape is good for Solis.

He's a journeyman, now. Jorge Gonzales pt 2 but without the weak chin and loud mouth.

The thing with Cuban Amateur stars, when they get to the USA apparently, is that they can't handle the "freedom". Either that or the culture shock is too much for them and they are taken advantage of by the "western capitalist system"- meaning that they don't have any idea on what it takes to be a true champion, in and out of the ring. They don't appreciate the dirty in the game to be gritty enough to rise above it all AND the distractions.

What many have done, aside from a few exceptions, Rigondeaux being one of them (if the only one, but Perez is showing me a few things) is that when they get to the USA they become distracted- by the women, freedom, fast food, partying, late nights, etc... they don't want to train, they want to live life. A life they don't get in Cuba.

So, while Cuban amateur stars have oodles of talent, Solis is no exception as his talent is clear and obvious, they don't have what it takes to stay focused because of the cultural differences between a lazy Caribbean island like Cuba vs. a fast paced, free society like the USA- WITH MONEY IN YOUR POCKET!!!

He is so fat that when he punches he dislocates his knee. It would be funny if it was not true.
