slightly off topic here, but I think Hollywood has been going down a one way street for years now. Studio films are brainless big budget CGI action feasts aimed at 12 year old suburban boys.

The best 'film' output now is on TV .... Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, the West Wing etc. that's why all the big big serious actors are on TV now as opposed to 20 years ago when they used to sneer at it.

Back on subject, America has made some great movies, but not more than other places really (in terms of percentage of total output).

Einstein was a Jew but who cares about how greedy he was. He was also a "P"russian not a Russian. That corresponds to German if I'm not mistaken!!

Anyway Greenbeanz your mate Einstein might have had the science for it but I think we can safely credit America for not only producing visually the best films, but also for developing the whole industry atleast since the 1940's!!

Now I hate America more than most personally but credit where it's due. Their ridiculous dramatic acting is sickening at times and they produce a lot of shit at times. But their films are far better than anything else the world puts out in competition.

FFS I'd go nuts if I had to watch nothing but Australian movies my whole life!!

Russia? To be fair Russia always produced more durable goods. Things were built to last and to be serviced there, in Yankee land they were built to be replaced. But in terms of film, their whole movie industry absolutely sucks! LOL
