Default We all know who Tureano Johnson is now!

Stevens stayed in there and got the win, but he was lucky! Lucky he finally got the punch he wanted and lucky the referee jumped in so fast.
In my opinion, Johnson gave Stevens a straight up mauling for 9.75 rounds before that punch. Too bad, Johnson lost concentration for a second.
I don't want to sound like I was against Stevens in this fight, I just hate to see victory snatched from the fingers of any fighter who tried so hard and had the fight in the bag. Hell, he would have been better off just covering up and letting Stevens have the last round.

This wasn't the type of loss that hurts a young fighter. He'll come out better because it. I just wonder if any of the top guys would risk getting in the ring with him. He looks to be a beast.

He was royally screwed without the dinner and movie last night! He bullied Stevenson around and had him confused but all the while he remained in harms way tempting fate. I don't think he literally took a backwards step for 9 rounds. The punch was a head swiveler and showy but Johnson stayed up and avoided any follow up, albeit due to instinct as well as Stevenson's inaccuracy. This is why a ref should be given the discretion of a standing 8 count. Stevenson is a one trick pony.

Johnson was a machine. Relentless and strong.

Stevens hit the lotto with that hook n I was thrilled he did, but that stoppage was too quick and unjust.

Needs to be an immediate rematch if Stevens runs who do you want to see Johnson in against

Bit of a BS stoppage , but after he was so far ahead why did he try and fight Stevens ? His inexperience cost him the win!!

He should try to work at Middle for a while and then get a few mid-range contenders again.... he clearly beat Stevens last night. A shame the ref decided to do thee most wrong thing. This reminds me of how Froch and Groves 1 went... shame.
    Bigger man George, bigger punch!

That was one of the best fights I've seen this year, toe to toe for the whole fight. Johnson was unlucky but I think Stevens could have finished him if it carried on. A rematch would be good.

He's a solid, 2nd tier kind of fighter.. He's fearless that's for sure but that style is going to get him hurt especially because he doesn't have real power at the higher level..

Im starting to think that the ref saved his career by stopping the fight... stoppage was legit..

I agree with Finito. Stoppage was legit. He was heard and just slopped on the ropes taking punches.

Johnson has genuine chances against Sturm and Quillin, possibly an old Martinez but I'd say GGG would stop him. Style would suit GGG I think but he's certainly a live fighter in the division. Anyone not think he'd do well against Macklin, Geale, Solimon, Fletcher or Ndam?
