Default David price..is he still a contender?

He weighed in at 244lbs and cant afford another slip up at this stage.

He has got something but what are your thoughts on his 3rd coming?..

I dunno. Hes got off to a shaky start for a career in boxing to a veteran opponent. Theres pleanty of room for improvement. I guess only time will tell.

As of right now you can't really say he is, but I don't rule him out because he's huge and has a good right hand. He's not as skilled as his pedigree might suggest imo, and he's not all that young on the flipside, he needs to impress in fights like this.

I dont think he can be.. Dude has been cracked and those two losses by an old man will haunt him forever imo..

Physcologically, the damage has been done..

I think he can be a contender but not a champion. Far too fragile.

Perhaps a different trainer will help..

Is it just a case of fighting tony thompson was just too soon?

This road he is on now might lead to better things..

I like Pricey big boy, bangs world class but as soon as he is clumped goes into meltdown mode if he can sort his head out when under the cosh he could beat any one, I would love it if he got it on with Pikey Fury you could imagine the Pikey on his back like a upside down beetle trying to get up. Yer he is a contender but probably will be forever.

POssibly, but when one is considered as the next big thing, they are supposed to beat old guys like Thompson..

Pulev isn't all that special but even he beat Thompson without much problems..

Price can hang in there as a fringe contender but I dont think he'll surpass that level..

If he starts fighting regularly. Even his comeback with Saunderland promotions has suffered hitches so far with him lossing Adam Booth as a trainer before they even had a fight together and he hasn't been out nearly as much as I'd of expected him to be. His fight against Pala I doubt will even go 3 rounds in all honesty. But back to the question, he can easily become a contender again but I'd be hugely suprised if he ever gets a belt.

I think that Lennox Lewis could have made himself something of a super coach if he'd wanted. Unfortunately he wasted his time and energy on Price.

Price does not have what it takes clearly.

    LOL I dunno about that!

He would have to smash that gigantic body pretty hard and long because he would not even be able to reach his head.

Honestly, as lemonish as Price is, if there was a TAB I would not be able to throw my old mate Frazier a bone here even unfortunately, based purely on the range, weight and power and relative sharpness of the straight shots of Price, I reckon it's just insurmountable for old Joe.

Tyson however, would waste Price early, that'd be a laugh!

Prices best chance was when he was a fully grown man, experienced international fighting a novice 17 year old Fury but Price was still the one who ended up on his arse in that one.

Price is still more than capable of obliterating Fury. Truth is Tyson ran and continues to run the guy has no bottle and little to no ability. I don't like to call any professional a bum but the big soft Lancashire twat is a crack away from being one.
