Default How do you think a Golden Boy break up will affect boxing?

Rumors are that the company is about to head into a legal battle after the Mayweather VS Maidana fight. It sucks because I think GBP is a better company than TR but it could in affect end the cold war and we could see some fights we might not have seen with two major promotional companies.

The other thing that could be happening is Al Haymon. Something about all of this just seems like Oscar De La Hoya was screwed out of his company, Oscar doenst have the strongest mind and I can really see Haymon and Mayweather messing with him so much and sticking so many things into his head that he literally broke down. That idea of course is just speculation and really is just a crazier story of how this company that was seemly in line to take over boxing is at the brink of imploding from the inside and the men who are positioned to take advantage of it all.

    Whats your take?
    The key is Self-discipline.

I think nothing happens and it was all about the IRS getting their cut of every dollar that changed hands.

But if GBP were to break up I think Haymon takes over boxing.

It's the most interesting story in boxing and no notable boxing writer has been able to get a scoop on it. If you have read any good articles on it, pass them on to the folks here at Saddo.

Haymon is GBP, Oscar is just the face of it.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
