Default Jayson Velez wants to rumble with Abner Mares and Jhonny Gonzalez

I kinda like Velez as he's one of the few active ricans who can fight but is he ready for these rad ass Mexicanos?

I believe Jhonny is the tougher for at this time because his confidence is at an all time high.

Mares on the other hand is emotionally wrecked and vulnerable. I think its the perfect time for a young hungry lion like Velez to catch him.

Dude, Lomachencko fought salido and will face Russell next fresh off the ams.

Velez has fought enough as a pro. How raw can he be?

Velez is one of them fighters who suffers from self-esteem issues. He doesn't have confidence in himself. He was set to fight Ponce De Leon last year. But less than 2 weeks till the fight he pulled out. Claiming he hurt his ankle by walking. Instead of the fight being postponed it was canceled. Velez said he wanted to go in a different direction

Lomachenko had a long time am career collecting 2 Olympic gold medals, Velez is still way open with his shots and he gets hesitant at times but the kid is tough, but it's not like if he's had 50 pro fights or dragged on upping his opposition like other fighters, IMO Velez isn't ready for either
