If the price is right? What does that mean? Sure his promoter will win the purse bid and determine how much he gets paid?
It means. "if I want to lose, I want to get paid big.... or else I will keep fighting lesser opponents, keep my title and keep my star status." I love how "if the price is right" line has creeps into all those conversations where someone who is just acting the part is confronted with the possibility of fighting generally considered better by the consensus. Apparently, the risk part wasn't explained to them about the sport and now they want to be paid extra to take a beating. whatever happened to the days were fighters were fighters and entertainers went to the wwf/wwe?
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Who is Danny Jacob? Is he any good? Worthy of a fight for a title?
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
The middleweight division is actually pretty hot at the moment. GGG and Sergio are the top 2 (provided Sergio has somthing left) barring them tho its wide open imo with Quillin, Jacobs, Macklin, Lee, Murray, Stevens, Korobov, Fletcher, Geale, Ndam, Sturm, Rubio, Lemieux, Saunders and Murata all match up against each other nicely. You also have to throw Johnson into the mix too after his good performance against Stevens.
This would be a very nice match! I can see where Quillin is coming from. Fact is he is the champion and its Jacobs on the comeback trail. I've gained much respect for him, in large part for what he has faced out of the ring, but truth be told as much bs as Quillin faces for his comp and record, Jacobs name of claim is Ishe Smith and being one punched and done by Pirog in a fight he was showing he can be touched with regularity. He just detonated a faded pudgy Giovanni Lorenzo and hopefully its a sign of thrills to come but to say he is level above Quillin is a stretch. Love to see this fight get made and both being gbp betting its all but a sure thing.
