I really hope Deontay Wilder beats Bermane Stiverne, so we can see unification with Wladimir Klitschko.

Wilder needs to get by Zelenoff first...
The fact we still have more questions than answers 31 fights in has me picking Stiverne.
As far as I'm concerned Wilder is a 6 round green prospect who has never been chin checked or tested in the least.
I think Stiverne's style would suit Wilder. Fighting in patches and leaning on the ropes wouldn't be good against Wilder. His counter punching could get through to Wilder if he timed them well though.

Nothing would surprise me in this one because we don't have a real handle on Wilder.
Wilder could win in 1 or 2, Stiverne could win in 5 or 6 or vice versa. They both have good power with Wilder having more, I think.
It might come down to who gets there first with the power.
I think a lot gets lost looking at a ko ratio when the same light-recognition isn't put on who a guy is actually knocking out. Blowing out decent-respectable comp is entirely different from blowing out guys handed a script before the bell and fully expected to fall over.
I'm stubborn...I need to see a 'prospect' take a punch before we start talking sales. Literally the hardest I've seen him hit is vs some blown up spr middleweight a few years ago, on the lower chin-neck and he rode into the ropes for a sec and the legs went wide. His stamina, chin, being countered are a 100 percent unknown.
My bad, a year and a half ago...this is NOT what proves you a legit contender

Stiverne was too easy to hit, Arreola is slow and hit him all fight.
If Wilder gets him against the ropes like that it's curtains.
You say tomato,
‘n I say …… it correctly.
I think we are underestimating Stiverne's power... we are also underestimating his ability to fight taller men- he showed that he can in the amateur's and pro's.
He's gonna chin-check Wilder, for real. And then it's on.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

I think our desperation for another great American HW is causing people to overhype this dude and overlook some glaring concerns.
Don King now says Stiverne may not fight either Wilder or Wlad next.
They may have a voluntary defense against someone else.
Stiverne fights like Kirkland Lang.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
He kinda reminds me of Chris Byrd with more pop in his punch obviously
Hope I'm wrong, but something about Wilder reminds me of Michael Grant. I think once he steps up in class he gets blown out. Hope I'm wrong though.
