Really ? Confidence and self belief are important but stepping over into arrogance and self delusion are surely dangerous and in the end self defeating.

Well fuck, a parent is always going to have rose coloured glasses when talking about their son. Having unrealistic optimism about ya son is nothing new, don't fault the man for that.

When you were born, you dad looked at you and said what a handsome lad my boy is, he's going to be quite the ladies man. He didn't foresee the years of cruising the streets looking for lads that looked like Freddie Mercury and then doing the big "pillow bite" hahahahaha

I thought it was funny (he said this last night on Ringside, halfway through the interview he asked Johnny Nelson to stop it so he could catch a fly that was bothering him. Brilliantly nuts)

Everyone that spars Eubank jr says he's the real deal.

My only worry is his power.

Maybe the fact that he isn't ever pressure and fights at his own very slow pace is a worry also. I mean we need to see against a come forward fight that pressures the whole fight against CEJr to see if he can handle it.

Lol these are the dangers of Daddy being to involved.and although I like Junior I'd can his old man from talking for him pre or post fight. Like the kid does not have enough pressure. His posing and copy catting of his dad is getting a bit much also. Heaven forbid if he loses a fight.

His dad acted like a cock at times and his son is following the same format. I do not take it personally, he thinks it is being smart and entertaining.

Being the ignorant fuck that you are you probably would be disappointed that your son had not turned out to be just as stupid as his old man but I am quite sure my Dad would not have batted an eyelid had I turned out to be Gay. This has nothing to do with rose coloured spectacles, Eubank senior has just pumped the bellows and further inflated his sons already massive head and ego. That is not going to do him any favours and has about as much to do with supporting your child as the same ignorant deluded idea that wearing jodhpurs and a monocle has anything to do with being a gentleman.

Do not forget that Chris senior was spooked out by the idea that Collins ( who himself is hardly a master tactician) had gained an unfair advantage by using a hypnotist. What kind of empty worthless self confidence is that ? Junior has a rude awakening awaiting if he thinks he can go through both the middle and super-middle weight division like a hot knife thru butter. The guy is one currant short of a toasted tea cake and his old mans theory has more holes in it than a crumpet.

One things for sure, Eubank JR gets people talking and watching him. Its hard to say how good he is, for a start he needs to sweep up domestic rivals because at this stage being mentioned in the same sentance as Andre Ward and GGG is ridiculous. Personally I would love him to fight James DeGale in the near future.

It's not that abnormal for parents to overestimate their sons.. most parents are deluded when it comes to their kids.

Eubanks has always rubbed me the wrong way though.. the way he speaks makes me cringe and wanna back slap him.

Eubanks is very overrated as a fighter.. im talkin about Sr..

If daddy senior is serious about what he is saying then put him in with a world class fighter.

    It is all hype.

Junior is very good but not at the level Daddy is saying. I think he gives DeGale, Groves and Abraham good competitive fights now.

    Eubank Sr. woulda beat GGG.

He tamed a larger and more dangerous beast in Nigel Benn.

Yes he also got a gift against club fighter Dan Schommer , beaten by Steve Collins , Eubank had heart and a steel chin but was over rated a WBO plastic belt holder. Nobody outside of the UK gave a crap about him.
