Default Saddoboxing.com - Round II - Prediction Contest for various prizes

Round II Contest for various prizes...including Ring, Boxing Monthly, signed Hatton shirt...possibly more things to come.

    Here are the general rules:

    Injuries sustained by Fouls

    A. Intentional fouls.

    1. If an intentional foul causes an injury, and the injury is severe enough to terminate the bout immediately, the boxer causing the injury shall lose by disqualification.

    2. If an intentional foul causes an injury and the bout is allowed to continue, the referee will notify the authorities and deduct (2) points from the boxer who caused the foul. Point deductions for intentional fouls will be mandatory.

    3. If an intentional foul causes an injury and the injury results in the bout being stopped in a latter round, the injured boxer will win by TECHNICAL DECISION if he is ahead on the score cards or the bout will result in a TECHNICAL DRAW if the injured boxer is behind or even on the score cards.

    4. If boxer injures himself while attempting to intentionally foul his opponent, the referee will not take any action in his favor, and this injury will be the same as one produced by a fair blow.

    5. If the referee feels that a boxer has conducted himself in an unsportsmanlike-like manner he may stop the bout and disqualify the boxer.

    B. Accidental fouls.

    1. If an accidental foul causes an injury severe enough for the referee to stop the bout immediately, the bout will result in a NO DECISION if stopped before four (4) completed rounds. Four (4) rounds are complete when the bell rings signifying the end of the fourth round.

    2. If an accidental foul causes an injury severe for the referee to stop the bout immediately, after four (4) rounds have occurred, the bout will result in a TECHNICAL DECISION, awarded to the boxer who is ahead on the score cards at the time the bout is stopped.

    a. Partial or incomplete rounds will be scored. If no action has occurred, the round should be scored as an even round. This is at the discretion of the judges.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The scoring system for these types of situations will be as follows:

SCORING FOR TDWIF, TDIF, ND, TDAF, NC

If you pick a fighter to win (by any means), and he wins by Technical Decision, you will be rewarded with three points; conversely if he loses by Technical Decision you will lose three points.

If you pick a fighter to win by technical decision, you will win 10 points, and if you get the correct round for the technical decision, you will get a further 15 points.

Britkid's decision from his interpretation of the rules is final

    THE NO CONTEST

If you predict a No Contest you will rewarded 25 points

If you predict a draw (technical or otherwise), for a No Contest you will be rewarded 15 points

If a fight is declared a No contest for whatever reason, after the day of the bout, whatever points have been gained from the initial decision will remain on your score. But whatever points have been loss due to the initial decision, will be restored to your score. If you predicted a No Contest you will be awarded a further 25 points. If you predicted a draw (technical or otherwise) ,will be rewarded a further 15 points

Any fight declared a no contest 61 days or later after the initial fight, will not count towards the Prediction contest, and whatever points have been won/loss on the initial decision will remain.

Any fight declared a No contest after the cessation of the Prediction contest, will not count towards the Prediction contest.

The no contest rule covers every fight, in the Prediction contest.

Britkid's decision from his interpretation of the rules is final

    KO/TKO's

If you choose wins via KO or TKO, there will be separate scoring systems:
You will be given 5 for KO or 3 for TKO.
You can also choose a win via KO/TKO. You will be given: 2 point for this decision.
If you choose the exact round of KO or TKO, there will also be separate systems:
    So, if you choose:
KO + exact round of stoppage, you will earn 15 points. If you choose TKO + exact round, you will earn 12 points.
Exact round via the KO/TKO option will give you 8 points.
Conversely, if you pick the exact round and your fighter wins via decision you will be given 1 point.
If your fighter loses via KO/TKO, you will lose 3.
If you pick KO and your fighter wins via TKO, you will be given 1 point; this will be the same for both possible outcomes.
If you pick your fighter to win via the TKO or KO + Round option for all stoppages listed below and he wins via decision, you get 1 point.
If you pick a TKO or KO + exact round and it's a TKO when you specified KO, you will still be given 8.
You can illustrate these results by simply inputting:
    1- KO = 5
    2- TKO = 3
    3- KO/TKO = 2
    4- KO + Round = 15
    5- TKO + Round = 12
    6- KO/TKO + Round = 8

    POINT SCORING

If you choose a fight via DECISION, you will be awarded 3 points.
If you specify the nature of the outcome, i.e. UD, MD, SD…you will be given 5 points.
    Illustrate your decision as follows:
    1- DEC/PTS = 3
    2- UD, MD, SD = 5

You will gain 1 point if your choice is incorrect and your fighter wins. If he loses by all decision type scenarios, you will lose 3. You will also lose 5 points if your fighter is TKO'd, KO'd.

    THE DQ AND DRAW

If your fighter wins via DQ, you will receive 9 points. If you pick the exact round of the DQ you can add an additional 4 points, which will garner you 13 points.
Conversely, if your fighter loses by the chosen option listed above you will lose 5 points for either outcome.

If you call the fight a DRAW, you will receive 7 points.
If you call the fight a DRAW, and are incorrect, you will lose 3 points.
If you call a decision and the fight is a draw, you lose 3 points.
    Illustrate your decision as follows:
    1- DQ = 9
    2- DQ + Round = 18
    3- Draw = 7
