Default Crawford v Gamboa June 29

A bit under the radar this one and I think its going to be a great fight. I'm going with Crawford and maybe a stoppage. Gamboa may look great in training but I think Crawford is going to cash in on those sloppy mistakes.

i know, i totally forgot about this fight. haha. i am actually thinking that gamboa pulls this off. crawford is good but i think that gamboas athleticism might create some problems for him. it seems that crawford should win but its easy to forget that gamboa is a good fighter but has just slacked off for the past few years.

I'm surprised Gamboa took the fight tbh.

Athleticism doesn't win fights....skills pay bills.

Gamboa lacks skills on the level of Crawford...you'll see

You can't miss Gamboa down the middle and its when turns into a guy with two left feet. He should have been so much more than what he is but was a bit of a rushed product. I think Crawford by tko.

I hope Gamboa wins, this is a very under rated fight with quality written all over it. 2 undefeated fighters coming together takes some beating.

Yup and interestingly enough the exact same fight record. I bet that's only happened a handful of times.

I'm looking forward to this one big time. I've been a big fan of Gamboa's since I caught him starching Johnnie Edwards back in the day, and as much as I love his raw athleticism and skill, he has shown some holes in his game. This is going to be a telling fight, Crawford is a crafty southpaw and from the little I've seen of him looks like he has the goods. This is a true test for Gamboa, glad they made this fight.

Not sold on Crawford nothing special what I seen of him against Burns, no thriller and no killer
    Gamboa all the way.

True but don't forget that Gamboa does have skill. He just doesn't fight anymore. Gamboa doesn't have to worry about Crawford coming at him. Crawford is a very cautious fighter. I think that's to gamboas advantage

Gamboa's defense has more holes than a Texas oil field.

Crawford will easilly pic him apart.

Not sold on Gamboa with his glass chin and siv-like defense.

Which is why I said Crawford's lack of aggression will lose him the fight. I don't see him taking enough opportunities to make Gamboa pay for his mistakes

This is a great fight, had forgotten about it as well. Crawford is the more cerebral/fluid type of guy, but Gamboa imo has the better physicality, he's a beast when he actually lets his hands go. Neither have yet to face anything quite like the other, that's what makes this one really sweet on paper. I'd say either Crawford UD or Gamboa stoppage, no idea though.

I find it hard to knock Crawford as non aggressive or lackadaisical in any fight where Gamboa is involved. Calculated and a boxer, ok but he's well aware of Gamboas previous career as a free swinging puncher...if anything its Gamboa who has shown this new mentality of shelling up and trying to reinvent the wheel...put lipstick on a pig. Its literally written on his face when he tries to box, keep distance and not make mistakes. He literally looks like he is fighting to not make mistakes and get caught. Guy like Crawford has depth to read that. Talk about passive.

If he tries to box and match skill and accuracy with Crawford he is going to be picked apart, in ugly fashion. To win this he needs to revert, has to go early Gamboa and make it a dog fight. Bully this kid with shots from the underground and rattle his cage. Punch for punch I think he is faster for sure, but speed means nothing if your hands are in the pockets. Gamboa needs to act like he has been on this level after all this time but I don't see it.

Damn, this is a very solid match!!
