i must be the only one who thinks this is an interesting fight. algieri showed great heart and nice boxing skills, so i dont think it will be so one sided. in fact, from the one fight ive seen with algieri, id say he has a good chance. i have a hunch he may be all wrong for pacman.

I don't disagree but Algieri has been on HBO all of ONE time, even though he's had a great year in beating Provo and I'm blanking on the guy he beat on ESPN. He's pretty much a no-name from New York. This would be an absolutely acceptable fight if it was free.

He's being interviewed on FNF, ring center with Teddy and the crowd is shouting the name of the guy in main event and tepid in response. Wow. Tough home crowd No wonder they are putting this in China

If this fight were on hbo I would be excited for Algeri getting a shot. This is not a PPV and I 'll be watching the replay a week later

Not a disaster of an opponent but it is what it is a tune up fight as were the bouts with the light hitting Rios and Bradley . Pacquiao has earned the right to have tune ups especially off he brutal KO at the hands of JMM. But let's not try to say Pacquiao is back because he is far from it. If he believed he were he would not be fighting blown up lightweights. The better question is what stiff awaits him after this fight. The boxing masses will truly be asking more of an opponent after this fight.

Why run your mouth about such things if there remains 0 chance if it's happening. I would rather see Pac fight Prod only because Roach has been running his mouth again. I would hold of on my disgust hoping that we are do for a surprise over Pacs next fight. I'm one of those pactards always hoping for a great fight to be announced. Prod then Floyd, how's that for dreaming.
How is fighting your long time sparring / in stable Top Rank fighter wanting the best opponent for Pacquiao? If you were a true believer in Pacquiao's ability you eoikd be clamoring for a Thurman or Porter match

Bradley was ranked #3 p4p when Pac fought him, so I wouldn't consider that a tune up fight at all. I'm with Manny giving Algeri a shot (as most seem to be), I just think having it on PPV is a complete rip off. They won't make much on PPV in my opinion, but Arum is a savvy guy so I could be wrong.

Vargas and Demarco in the 3rd round if anyone cares. Jessie Vargas is cut by right hand a head butt on review. Good fight.

I'm pulling for the underdog. Here is a guy that nobody has heard of, is dubbed an "opponent" and sub par and yet he had to shrink down 3 pounds to defend his own title because its Manny I decide what weight the fight is going to be Pacquiao. Its pathetic. I hope a rabbit is somehow pulled out of the hat and he knocks Manny out.

3-1 Vargas, and frankly... the 1st round could've gone either way.

Demarco ate some choice rights in that melee.
