Was Roosevelt the president who liked to cut down trees with an axe an exercise?

Shaker Boulevard in Cleveland renamed Don King Way

Looking at that photo amazing that those who showed up consisted of two white cops, one black female cop. Looks to be about 3, 4 or five people showed up.

    Any truth to this?
What fighter won the title on a foul?

    Max Schmeling

Schmeling was the victor after claiming he was hit below the belt by Jack Sharkey on June 11, 1930.

That is true and didn't Sharkey lose to Dempsey getting punched in the nuts when he was winning the contest?

I thought so, but need to ensure:

When Sharkey got hit below the belt in the seventh round, he complained to the referee Jack O’Sullivan. Despite a warning from O’Sullivan, Dempsey hit Sharkey four times in the same area. As Sharkey tried to get the referee’s attention, Dempsey landed a left hook to the jaw.

This is a long shot, anyone remember what fight did Larry Merchant say "Wake me up, if a fight ever breaks out?"
Was having a convo about funny comments from commentators.

If I had to guess, and I do not know the answer, it would be Shannon Briggs v Liakhovich as that fight was awful.

Maybe it was him because when Washington got caught chopping down a cherry tree he was too young and if you will allow mw the luxury of poetic justice, I think his old man was pissed.

How did this go from boxing trivia to u.s. presidential trivia?

I couldn't find which president did that but I also found a very nice quote from Abraham Lincoln:

GIVE ME SIX HOURS TO CHOP DOWN A TREE AND I WILL SPEND THE FIRST 4 HOURS SHARPENING THE AXE

    Correct and they never fought.

Can you name the heavyweight fighter who shared the same trainer as Ali, Angelo Dundee, and did fight him?

Also which fighter did Dundee side with?

On March 27th, 1982 both Wilfredo Gomez and Jeff Chandler defended their titles via 6th round knockouts..... nothing special about that right? Not unless you know that BOTH fights officially ended at 2:28 of the round.

If the great Featherweight champion Sandy Saddler and Rocky Marciano where to fight, Saddler would have had a 2 inch reach advantage, 70 inches to Marciano's 68.

Oscar De La Hoya released his first album on EMI/Latin Records. It was named "Oscar" and was successful. The album topped Billboard's Latin Dance charts for several weeks and "Ven a Mi," a single from the album was nominated for a Grammy.

Everyone speaks of "The Thrilla in manilla" as one of the best Heavyweight fights of all-time because they were practically killing each other, going bk and forth in the scorching heat for 14 rounds . Suprisingly the scores at the time of the stoppage had Ali winning rather easily 166-160, 166-162, 167-162.

Roy Jones Jr. was the first person in compubox history to go an entire round without being hit against Vinny Pazienza.

    Non Boxing Trivia

The average blue whale produces over 400 gallons of sperm when it ejaculates, but only 10% of that actually makes it into his mate. So 360 gallons are spilled into the ocean every-time he busts a nut, and ppl wonder why the ocean is so salty.

The percentage of Africa that is wilderness: 28%. The percentage of North America that is wilderness: 38%
