His opinion means no more than anyone else's considering he hasn't fought Ward and got completely stomped by Froch, at least imo. Of course it is a valid point that the inactivity makes Ward less and less of a known entity, but he's never really looked rusty despite big layoffs between each of his last few fights. Froch isn't going to have improved either, he's a good deal older than Ward and has been in some wars since. I'd have a really hard time seeing the fight going much differently than it did the first time, and I doubt it could ever happen anyways as Ward doesn't bring a massive payday and Froch wouldn't fancy his chances.

Ward has really messed his career up and for what exactly? A boxer has what, 15 years to maximise his money, so that he can live well in retirement and here is Ward giving up huge chunks of that time over money and money that he isn't making because he isn't fighting. It makes little sense to me. I'm not sure he is even at his best with the surgery he had, but these extended breaks mean that he is unlikely to be quite the same. Froch might well beat him and that shouldn't be the case considering Ward already has the win and is significantly younger. Strange world.

I think Ward may still win but his chances are certainly reduced. Froch is concerned about his legacy and avenging his defeats so I think he would fight Ward if the opportunity arose even for less money. I could see Froch fight Ward if he could not get Junior, GGG or Kessler.

Are you serious? Froch has NEVER mentioned Ward since he got Beat by him, almost as if his name was a swear word. Why? Because he knows he lost every round against Ward and him and McCracken probably couldn't work a strategy out to change that. Besides, as far as I am concerned, Andre Ward is an ex-Fighter who does a bit of commentary for American TV.

I agree, plus I can't see Ward taking any fight without being 110%
A tune up fight might not be out of the question for Ward also.

Yes you are right but if he could get an opportunity to avenge that loss against an inactive Ward before he retires then he may take it.
