Stiverne isnt beating any decent boxers. Cant move his upper body, takes shot after shot as his defence is just stand in front with you gloves up. No foot work.

Ive said it before but hes just a heavyweight version of Berto.

Wilder just embarrassed him. Thats a fighter who is a relative novice.

Wilder should not fight Wlad...good composure though! Very rinse & repeat. Love to see Jennings v Wilder

No chance NBC Haymon goes anywhere near jab and grab for a long time. It's going to be Wilder versus whoever on NBC for a long time. For the heavyweight championship of the world.

    Enjoyable fight.
Stiverne did very well, this fight asks more questions than it answers for Wilder.

    Oh hogwash!

Can Wilder take a shot? Check.
Can Wilder go a full 12 rounds? Check.
Can Wilder prevail against a higher level of opposition? Check.
Can Wilder show some improvement over his early comical wildness? Check.
Can Wilder maintain his focus after someone walks through his power shots? Check.

    What else do you want?

I'm eating my words. I was very wrong about wilder. and i admit it.
he did great! he boxed very well, took hard shots and showed skill. impressive win!!!
very cool indeed. a american heavyweight champion!!!

Stiverne however disappointed! why did he allow wilder to cut left all night without cutting him off? why did he not throw a jab more or go to the body more in earlier rounds? why didnt he jump on wilder when he did land good shots? DUMB.

from what i saw tonight, look out Wlad~!!!! Klit vs Wilder!!!! excited about that one. tyson fury sucks, i say bypass that clown!

Wilder surprised me. He deserves credit. That was a sweet accurate jab and he split the guard plenty of times. His shots are still from the moon but Stiverne never once attempted to exploit it but that could have been because of that right coming back. I was expecting Stiverne to be a turtle early but maybe 36 caught up to him or he trained for one punch but Wilder did use nice movement and seemed to control the distance. I also thought Wilder would gas if this went late and he didn't. Guy deserves his props for that performance. Stiverne never looked right but that's because of what Wilder did just as much if not more then what Stiverne didn't do. Its the reason Stiverne did not and could not do it.

    Wilder has really surprised me.

He now elevates 4th for me below Klitschko, Pulev and Povetkin. (Excluding David Haye who is unranked until he beats a relevant fighter again)

He has answered some chin issues. I thought he'd go at the first decent shot.

And his stamina was much better than anticipated. I kept thinking he was done but he got second wind time and again.

Bermane Stivernes workrate was atrocious. He really dropped the ball on this one, or maybe it was Wilder's credit for boxing better than most anticipated.

I can't believe this one went the distance! That was unthinkable!

Bermane has one of the hardest of chins for sure.

@Master, looks like your man wins AGAIN!

I wonder if I'll get one non-Klitschko fight correct this year :lol1:

I can't give Wilder credit for fighting a punk ass bitch who quit in the ring. Wilder was there to be had. Stiverne felt his power early and just quit. The man has no heart.

Miss less punches, fight some his own size, not get gassed half way through a round, keep his hands up.
If a few of stivernes punches connected it would of been a different story tonight.

Fighters who are tall are always going to look awkward, and he has some power, but he did not look natural and was far from dominating.
