virus protection

I have rebooted my computer and Beanflicker recommended I download malawarebytes which is good.

Can anyone recommend what I should download to stop virus protection and Malware?

The options I have are AVG, Ad aware, Mcafee, bulldog, microsoft security essential, kaspersky, norton, vipre and so on

Stay away from those clunker programs. They interfere with normal operation and take up a lot of hd space and ram speed. Your provider should have a sufficient firewall.

dl malwarebytes and use it once a week.
dl spybot and do the same,

For streaming AD BLOCKER is a must have.

malwarebytes is fine, I will not bother with spybot. I used to have ad blocker but so far have no need for it yet. Why do people infect computers, they should get a life and stop annoying people.

I understand the criminals who steal credit card and other info that they can profit from, but most of the viruses seem to be made as an annoyance. I had one last year that corrupted every file I had an locked them up, and demanded I pay a large "one time fee" to have them unlocked. Id love to get my hands on some of those dorks.

No man, i have a mac book air, two years old still as fast as the lighting, and trust me i've been chatting to some disgusting girls and still got no disease on my computer yet! virus proof!

I've had an iMac for about 2 years now and never had a problem. I do a lot of downloading, my laptops would always get infected, no issues on the mac.
