Both Champion's were sitting next to each other at Ringside, at the front-left and near
    Karl Mildenberger's corner.

Joe Louis scored Round 1 for the Champion, and Round 2 for Karl Mildenberger.

Max Schmeling scored round 1 'Even', and Round 2 for Karl Mildenberger.

Both later stated, that Cassius looked 'completely puzzled' by the southpaw-stance and
    squared-up style of the Challenger.

Oddly, Referee - Teddy Waltham scored Round 2 'Even'.

Judges > Nat Fleisher {United States} and Felix Ohlert {Germany} 'properly' scored Round 2 for Karl Mildenberger.

    Before the Round

Television Announcer - Howard Cosell made the statement, that he looked at the Sports
    Reporters Scorecards at Ringside.

He stated that the Champion won Round 1, and that Round 2 was very close. But it looks
like many of the Journalists also scored the 2nd-Round for the Champion, though it was
close and could have been called 'Even'.

    Round 3 > Karl Mildenberger

Referee - Teddy Waltham scored Round 3 for Karl Mildenberger.

Announcer - Howard Cosell scored the Round 'Even', obviously showing bias and 'brown nosing'
    for the Champion.

'Stars and Stripes' called the Round 'Even'.

Howard Cosell also made the statement that Joe Louis also scored the Round 'Even'. Which the
'Brown Bomber' did not. Joe Louis scored Round 3 for Karl Mildenberger, as did Max Schmeling.

    During Round 3

Howard Cosell, mentioned that he had scored the first 2-Rounds for Cassius Clay, but
had the 2nd Round very close.

    Howard Cosell >
"Cassius told me that he was going to start very fast, and possibly take the Challenger
out of here right away. But, Cassius did not come out as fast as he had predicted."

'Mildenberger is presenting all sorts of problems for Cassius. He's making Cassius miss.
That left-handed stance is really causing a problem."

Howard did mention that Mildenberger 'hurt' the Champion on '2' separate occasions
    in Round 3.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Howard did ask Joe Louis on what he thought:

    Joe Louis >
"Mildenberger is fighting better than I expected. He's taking it to Clay. He fought well in
Round 1, and he won Round 2."

    Howard Cosell >
"It's because of his left-handed stance Joe."

    Joe Louis >
"No, not really Howard. Mildenberger is not fighting like a true southpaw. He's squared up
    Howard, so he's really fighting in-between left-handed and right-handed."

    Howard Cosell >
"But he's leading with right-jabs, just like a southpaw."

    Joe Louis >
"He is not afraid, and is willing to trade. I'm impressed. He's landed a few good punches into
Clay's face. But, he has no power at all. He's pushing his punches, but they're getting there."

    Howard Cosell >
"But he's {Mildenberger} wide open for the right-hand, and he has been caught by a few."

    Joe Louis >
"He's doing right by himself, as he is winning the Round in my view."

    What We Have Here

Is a very ordinary southpaw German Heavyweight out-boxing the so-called 'Greatest'.

Karl did have fast-hands, but had absolutely 'Zero' power in his fists.

And he was backing up Cassius in the majority of each session.

    Jack Dempsey >

"Ohhh, would I have loved to get that Clay in the Ring. He is no Gene Tunney, not by a
    long shot."

"He drops his hands, and has no real strength."

Both former Champions > Joe Louis and Max Schmeling score Round 6 for the Champion, stating that
    Cassius had his best Round.

"Karl took a pasting, but showed that he is a game fighter. He made the Champion miss with 80% of
his punches. Still, Clay had his best Round."

Mildenberger is putting up a great effort."
