Just trying to think back if Pac was a reasonably big underdog against Morales 1 & 2, Barrera etc - De La Hoya I know he was

    Cheers!

Morales II I'm confident he was an underdog because Morales beat him so clearly.

Other than Morales and Marquez I can't think of a fight where losing seemed possible.

He was not expected to beat Lehlo Ledwaba.... but clearly creamed him. That's when folks started to take stock of him.

Probably Ledwaba and Barrera in the first fight, who was pretty fresh off beating Naz and Morales in their rematch. Oscar was a slight favourite I think, maybe Morales but he took that bad loss to Raheem before the second fight. Would think that's about it.

Pac/Brandon Rios. I'm still getting over the shock of that outcome.

I remember that something like 19/21 boxing experts polled by Ring magazine picked Oscar to beat Pacquaio.

No one anticipated De La Hoya to be the shell of a man that he was fighting at a weight he hadn't weighed in 10 years. The experts aren't always that smart.

    Neither was Oscar.

Barrera fight Manny must have been the under dog.

I remember the build up. While people realized who he was when he beat Elicier Julio and did pound Ledwaba into submission, they were not sold on him and thought that he just would have been another "opponent" for Barrera. Boy, were they wrong!! lolol....

It was the Barrera fight was where he came to stardom, Manny did.
