Default Aldo vs McGregor, who wins?

So we have in one corner a guy who's been on top of the mountain for the past 10 years or so and in the corner, a Charismatic and ruthless Irish with an unorthodox yet very effective style. Does McGregor stands a real chance or is he just the produce of a genius marketing?

    Aldo should win this.

McGregor is very quick and unorthodox, but he has earned this shot with his mouth more so than with beating any credible opponents.

He seems to have a full box full of good tools and to be pumped up with confidence but Aldo's a master on the mat and we haven't seen McGregor's real habilities if he's thrown down the ground by a pro at BJJ. I am really wondering but I still think too that Aldo should win that one.

I just haven't seen a big enough sample size on McGregor to bet against Aldo. The Irishman has looked spectacular and I won't be surprised if he can overwhelm and catch Aldo but as of yet I think Aldo can take this fight deep control it for a UD.

One thing for sure; Mcregor sure knows how to sell a fight and how to get talked about him. I think that he has everything to make tons of noises and eventually, to be a champion too, he might beat Aldo but so far, as VD stated, I think that we haven't seen enough of him to bet against Aldo.

Nothing against VD but I think he'd agree to not mix us up

I'm picking McGregor in this one. If he can work his kicks and keep his distance hopefully take Aldo into the late rounds and finish him. He just needs to avoid Aldo's leg kicks because if those start landing his movement will slow and it'll make it easier for him to be picked apart.

All in all this is going to be one hell of a fight!

There's a lot we still don't know about Conor. We don't know if he has heart, if he has a chin, if he has the stamina to go 5 hard rounds, ect. We know Aldo has all these things. Conor has beaten some solid to decent opposition: Max Holloway and Poirier were solid wins. Nothing close to a Jose Aldo level.

Maybe Conor will step up to the challenge and be great, maybe Aldo has had one too many wars and will get "old" overnight, who knows. I wouldn't put money on Conor though.

I feel like I'm on a swing when I think about McGregor. At one end I see this great athlete/fighter who I think has some special abilities and could win it all. At the other end I see this perpetual self promoting machine, with a cell phone in one hand that only takes selfies and a mouth that only talks selfie. I'd like to see him win and I'd like to see him get his ass kicked.
I agree with most of you, it's hard to go against Aldo, but it wouldn't surprise me to see McGregor win. It's a fight I'm really looking forward to.
